I stood up for a potty break and came back to this catashtrophe http://testypea.blogspot.com ... *shivers*
I don't think I'm playing that family ever. The whole screen is frozen, probably due to this horrendous population of individuals. What to do?

You're not alone:

Quit without saving. When this happens, it permanently damages your neighborhood files.

thanks for that advice, but i guess it's too late for that now since i have already saved it. i know if i delete them by cheat they're still going to take up memory space, so what i did was i masacred them all by fencing them in - which took almost three days! but then i couldn't save the game. for some reason the save icon doesn't light up - so i guess it has corrupted some files. *sigh...*
perhaps i just bulldoze the house and start over? what do you think?

Nope. Even something that should effectively render them unpersons still leaves fragments of them on the hard drive and within the character files of other Sims. And probably in other places as well.

well it's official. the gardener incident did screw my entire game. i bulldozed the house and started over - using the same family, but then later, i noticed that my income was 80,506,372 simoleons! i didn't even know that was possible... and when i checked if i could save the game, i could not. i think the best thing to do now is reinstall everything. ...unless anyone has a better idea?:tired:

Just nuke the entire neighborhood. If you were using a standard Maxian neighborhood, follow the directions here:

If it was one of your own custom neighborhoods, just remake it: Saving the game after such a massive gardener party has almost certainly done irreparable damage to your neighborhood, but the rest of the game should be fine.
