If the original sims... were considering to do another release.
What would it be like if the dead sims could go to Purgatory, and yet there is another "world" expansion pack - where everyone is in some Victorian / Western 1860's theme. Gameplay would just be completely backwards, and everything it took to make it as among the living has changed.
I thought of Dead Like Me... the Series on Showtime, and thought that if someone really wanted to do the "Gothic" thing.... there would be a chance for the Dead Sim to gain immortality by reaping one of the living sims. It would tye into the Making Magick expansion pack quite nicely.
www.simslice.com had some neat ideas too.
On one hand, I'm happy technology has improved to make SIMS 2 really fun, and yet there is something to be said about the original that helped folks understand the limits of the "electronic body" as they go about their daily tasks. --- good for anchoring set of characters in writing a series / episode.
