Have you created a new neighborhood? If so you will need to make at least one community lot if you are going to be able to call a taxi ...

There is no "Downtown" in TS2. Furthermore, to access transportation, there is a seperate "Transportation" menu when you click on the phone.

Hope that helps :)

I was a little disappointed that you couldn't have a "resort type" of community where your Sims can get away from the kids for a few days and focus on each other.

From what I have seen, you can't add beds and bathtubs to a community lot. I guess they could always nap in a chair when they get tired, but not being able to wash is not going to help keep the romance alive :)

Give it some time...I'm sure Maxis will have that in an expansion pack :D

yeah. i mean, the original Sims never had any downtown type area by default. heck, you couldnt even make any community lots. why should TS2 be any different?

You CAN add bathrooms complete with baths into a community lot. I have bathrooms with spas and baths in them so all I have to watch is their energy levels. I wish they had done the beds on there too so you could have hotels but...maybe an expansion pack?
