Graphics on Sims 2!!

Hi, Okay well first i had a computer and it was 2000 kind, and now i just had it updated to xp, i have everything the game is required to have, and when i install it..it works perfectly, but the problem is when i get to the neighborhood part, its like the whole neighborhood is red and its flashing, and the people arent really moving or anything when i get to their house is there maybe something i dont have that needs it and if so do u know where i can download it?

We had a similar issue (maybe?) when we upgraded an older computer in our household to an FX 5200 videocard -- in some of the games everything would go RED when we would log into a newer generation game. We tried various drivers with no luck.

We had to go into cmos/bios and lower the AGP setting down to 2X (it was at 4X) and after that the card ran ok and the games played fine.

Sorry, but what is cmos/bios and AGP? if you could translate that to me, that'll be great!

Your BIOS is a thing on your computer that controls settings... really don't recommend that you mess with it unless you know what you're doing.

AGP is the connection that most video cards have. :) It is often brown, and is on your motherboard.

That's the BIOS settings. If you tried installing new drivers, and you still have the flashing red stuff, you could try that solution. However, every BIOS is different, and so you'll have to consult your computer's onscreen directions at boot-up time for how to access the BIOS and find the droid you're looking for by reading the menus or the computer's manual. If you don't know what you're doing, though, this could break something on your computer.
