Too many guests

I have a strange question: On this one lot, a fmaily of mom and dad, are having problems with their friends. They try to call them, then immediately hangs up, and suddenly within a second, the frontlawn is packed with 6-7 of their friends! What happens? It´s only happned to this family, but every time.

Whoa. Are the guests the friends you try to call? If they are, it could be TS2 screwing up the handling of telephone conversations.


The "virtual presence" effect, however, becomes apparent if your Sim has the jumping bug, causing the sim he's phoning to very briefly warp over to him when he jumps. This is because of the way telephones work in the world of the Sims:

A telephone, in the Sim universe works because when you call somebody (note how you never have to ask them for their phone numbers, and you can phone otherwise total strangers you greeted briefly), little imps kidnap and shrink the person you are phoning with, and stuff him into the phone, where he talks to you. After the conversation ends, the imps take him and put him back, erasing his memory of what happened.

I guess it's possible that the virtual telephone Sims somehow found a way to become real on that lot.

Well, not really. I mean, I don´t try to call all of them(it´s the same 5 friends), they just appear at precisely 5.50 p.m. I saved my game just as my sim was calling a friend
