Hi I am new to the forum. I was wondering what is up with the official sims 2 site from EA games? Anyone else having issues registering? I am also having issues registering through my CD.=(
I got this game for Christmas and have been hooked. :)
Thanks to anyone that can help

The official site can be very slow at certain times of day - mostly at times when it is early evening in the States. Also web-servers are most likely to be sluggish and unresponsive during periods of routine file maintenance (defrag/back up etc.) typically 2-3am local time.

From Britain I have found the best times are from 3-6pm(GMT) (7-10am PCT).

If you're getting errors based on your registration number then you will need to contact EA Games to obtain a new number before you can register. Best to start at http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eatech.cfg/php/enduser/cci/home.php

It took me 3 tries to register. It is due to bandwidth conjestion, server downtime, and all that crapola at the Sims2 end. Don't sweat it, keep trying.

If you were trying yesterday, try it again today or tomorrow. They had a hardware failure problem yesterday that shut things down for a while. They supposedly got it fixed but if you have problems, just try it again later.
