I been playing since the game came out, but this I have never experienced. A couple of times, I had my Sim drink the elixir of life with platinum mood and then go directly to bed. Then he shines with a bluish light for 24 hours, but woth no apparent effect. What´s that about?

Maybe grandpa got up in the middle of the night and secretly replaced your Elixir of life juice with Absynthe...

To quote Mirelly from an earlier thread about this sort of thing - I believe that it is part of the so-called emitter bug. This is where stink clouds, bubbles etc. attach themselves to a sim or object for long periods. It usually occurs when you cancel a sim's action or rush them thru a task with high speed. I've even had a sink faucet remain running for days at a time. Quite amusing when I deleted the sink the 'magic' water just appeared from nowhere and poured into the counter top. It only disappeared when I reloaded the game ... but then I sorta missed my sims' cool water feature ....
I have had this happen to me a number of times:
1: This was one Beau (the broke family) had his first kiss, i had it on max speed and they kissed and ther hearts came and bla bla bla, i then sent him to bed and the hearts were still around him
2: When one of my sims drank the exir of life i made tehm drink the whole thing in one go, with no breaks in between, he then had teh blue light arund him for about 2 sim days, it was funny.

Awww, how sweet! Little Beau was just dreaming about being in love. ;)
