I STILL SEE YOU

Last night I dreamt of you, a dream that seemed to last forever


We were in a park playing basketball together

We were cracking jokes, laughing and having a good ol' time

But now you're gone forever, and with you left my contented rhyme.

I still see you every day and every night

When I walk into stores I see you and call for you with all my might

But when the body turns around I see that he's not you.

Everywhere I walk my footsteps are slow and my mood is blue.

I still see you and it hurts because you aren't really here.

My life is filled with tears and comfort isn't there.

We were best friends since age eleven, now there are only memories.

Since September eleventh, my world has sank into the deep seas.

I know you're watching over me from above,

But I must say I miss your loving heart that sang to me like a heavenly dove.

I will always carry you in my heart

My soul bleeds for you, and all who left with you.
