Sorry, hon, they have to do homework unless you download some mods, and I'm not pushing that right now since having too many hacks that didn't work together messed up my game. If you can get them to an "A" then they can slack a little, but not too much. Or, use the testing cheat (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true) to set their ages to birthday. If they are teenagers, the social worker can't take them. :)

I know how to delete homework. First use the cheat moveobjects_on then buy any old table. Now move the homework onto the table in buy mode. Finally delete the table. This counts as doing it but not as the want.

Just get the kids to ask their parents to help them or get one of the smarter kids to do their homework for them:D

Get a parent to help them with homework the first few times; then they learn how to do it more efficiently (read more quickly). Also, get them a dollhouse. It's an equal-opportunity toy; both boys and girls love it. I call it a crack- house because they seem to obsess over it and play with it all the time, and I find it raises their fun bar faster than most other things. Use the dollhouse in tandem with their homework. It always works for me and I have no trouble getting the homework done until they become teens and get jobs; then things get a little more interesting.

I suppose your way would work technically, but I pride myself on not using any cheats unless I have an object that gets stucka nd requires the move objects cheat to move it.
I think it has helped me not have so many problesm adjusting to the pace of TS2U among other things as so many people have been complaining about how hard it is to get everything done and keep their sims happy. I haven't had any trouble. And I find the game loses its fun if I start to rely on cheats and such to overcome my problems, but to each his or her own I guess. *shrug*

Me agree aharris. :bunny: There are of course no rules but I think it is a dreadful waste of time playing the game without doing all the needed chores ... unless one is running a scenario for a photo story or movie; half the point of the kids is that good management gets them well skilled and ready for Uni. I recently got a Knowledge sim teen to realise a lifetime ambition (Max all skills) with 10 days teenhood left ... she's got $8,500 in grants and a permanent platinum mood to go to uni with; when she gets to her sophomore year she'll go family ... or maybe romance ... I ain't decided. :p

My biggest problem with homework is figuring out where the little monsters hide it. I have to watch them when they get home from school. They usually put it near the desk, if there is one, but if you have too many kids or no desk they're liable to put it anywhere. One of my teenagers does his in the middle of the family band instruments ... he also happens to have 8 creativity points, most of which he got as a toddler. Musically inclined, anyone?
I wish he could get a career as a rock star. He's even cute! (Not always a given with kids born in the game, even with cute parents.)
Oh well.
Congratulations on your super teen, Mirelly. That's amazing.

the annoying homework is usually hidden in the middle of a dark room or in their bedroom

I have some sim children who litterally hide it in the flower-beds on the way in from school. :D I once got a spanking for that when I was a little girl!
