frozen faces

Is anyone else having this problem? while talking on the phone or to other sims, the sim's voice keeps going but the face freezes. a ventrilogist should be so lucky but it spoils the "realism".

also sim is supposed to go take final but when I click on him all it says under college is do assignment and the meter is full up.
