Using laptop IBM G40. With 128 memory system ran slow but did not crash when loading. So, bought more memory 256 to increase speed, which now runs fast and smoother on loading up but now crashes when it reaches aroung the last screen crawls (cinematic specifiers) at the botton of the screen and retarts computer or sometimes screen will pop up with error saying problem in windows and will change screen to low resolution. Will return to desktop but in wrong screen resloution. Thought the extra memory would have helped performance and not cause problems.
Any help would be great.

Hi, I am using IBM G40 thinkpad. Added IBM 256 memory on top of 128.as recommended. Sims 2 starts to run but stops and reboots where the botton crawl says Sequencing Cinematic Specifiers. It runs ok very slow with 128 memory but doesn't crash. I have tried this memory and other types on our other Thinkpad with the same fault occuring. Any help much appreciated again.
