Transportation

Looking at the new transportation in SimCity 4, it didn't change much. I want to see stuff like rapid transit system like the bullet train in Japan! or a monorail :)

Yeah, im impressed with the upgraded road system, but there could be more imaginative additions.

Maybe so. I haven't had much time to play SC3000 WE yet, so I only have SC2000 (DOS) to compare with. But a monorail would be really nice. :classic:

Even if you could select what each train line is used for... eg. for freight or passenger transport, instead of the game automatically selecting... the same could be done with Train Stations.

I also think you should be able to have a transport "Hub" in the center of your city, where busses, trains and subways all link into one single station, then you could have transport "branches" reaching out into the suburbs from it.

But of course - but not only one, that wouldn't function in the right way. Stockholm is a good example on how to do it. :classic:

Another idea. What about Train lines down the middle of Motorways? (like in LA) or trams down the middle of streets? (like is SF)

Yeah. Hmm Came to think about it we have special bus and special train lines in the streets in Stockholm but mostly Gothenburg and Norrtälje. :)

Actually what ever you think. how about a region diced up and more about how to do that to make it good? Like what to think of when yuo plan where the city shall be adn so on.
