My sim's name is a disaster

My baby sim's name is accidentally Carter Carter because I forgot Carter was his last name. How can I change it???

There are two ways of changing the first name of your Sim. One is with the boolprop cheat (but I don't use boolprop so I've never bothered to learn how to do it.)

The other way is to get Merola64's Multipainting. The first panel has (under miscellaneous I believe) the option to "Change name." You may have to wait until they are a toddler to do it, as it may need to be done when the baby is the active character. If you click on that, it brings up a box where you can enter the new name.
