Nightlife Installation Problems pls help!

I installed the sims 2 and after that i installed the sims 2 NL after that i tried to play it but a message popped up and said "Please ensure that the Sims 2 nightlife cd is in the drive, then select OK and restart application"
i already did the copy the game from the cd to the hardrive still nothing works! :cry: anyone pls help!

Maxis' games insist on having the *original* play disk in the cd (or DVD) drive and will not allow any use of disk emulators or copied disks when running the game. This is Maxis' answer to software piracy. It's a pain, but whatchagonnado?

hmm. I use daemon tools to load a copy of mine and it works just fine. :confused:

I stand corrected. If you would be so kind, and if it's not against the site rules...could you post a link to that program? I usually use Alcohol, but Maxis seems to have a bee in their collective bonnets about it. BTW - I own originals (and registration keys) of all the software on my 'puter, I use the emulator to speed up game play and to avoid swapping disks. :)

er ... may I suggest you Google for daemon tools and see what comes up ;)
