Error Message after loading The Sims 2

I am in need of help. I am beginning to regret buying The Sims 2 after installing all the CD disks for the game I am getting an error message once I try to play the game. First let me start my saying I have and E-Machine that is running XP, the message is as follows:

:mad: FAILURE TO FIND ANY DIRECT 9.0c COMPARTIBLE GRAPHIC ADAPTERS IN THE SYSTEM! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DIRECT 9.0c COMPATIBLE GRAPHIC ADAPTER AND HAVE INSTALLED THE LASTEST DRIVES PROVIDED BY MANUFACTURER.

Well, I am no expert but I think you need a graphic adapter..
Look on thesims2.com and email them. They are the guys who created it. They should know! :)

What are your system specs?

Go to: Start, run, type dxdiag

At the bottom of that window there's a button called save all information, click that and save the file.

Next attach that text file to your post.
