Wait... what happened?!? Involving Vampires...

Okay, so here is the story. I created a girl and I wanted her to be a vamp. So she finally met the Count and the fell in the love (Ahhh :o ) and they got engaged and he moved in. She is now a vampire also, just in case someone is curious. This is the problem, I wanted to get him some new clothes so I took him down to the store and when he got back home, well he was no longer a person in the home and he is not even showing up on her people to call, there is no way to get a hold of him. He like vanished. He is still in her relationships but what happened, I wanted them to have little children...:depressed: . Is there a way to get him back, or is it not possible to control the count? Though it has to be because I did for a while. HELP?!?

OMG! Did he come back in daylight and not get into his coffin in time? He might have just boiled away into nothing and be gone for good!

Maxis usually provide a back up for this sort of situation. A new one is generated :p See if you can find him again? Downtown that is and see if he can be wooed back into her memories and phone book and affections.

If not you'll have to write this one down to experience because there is precious little I can think of to undo that situation. (I would normally say to exit without saving but with the count fresh back from a community lot that is the last save you have :( )

Have you tried reloading the game anyway? Does the count show up on the family album pic when you're loading the house?

If not then Plan A is your only option ... start over. Find the replacement count and next time be more careful :o

Now that I think about it, I didn't have a coffin yet, but it was night when he got back to the house. Also when I said "vanished", its more like the car was just in the drive way, it did not drive up or anything and he was not on the control panel. Its sooo confusing. :confused: I have not played it since I last posted so I'm going to dink around and see if I can find him. I'll post in a few hours most likely. :coolnessl:

Okay, I might have a solution to your problem...but it's a little risky, but it should work. okay...here goes.

Ctrl+shift+c to bring up the cheats menu...type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true". You can do this in the neighborhood screen. Then go into any one of the dorms that is already occupied by someone, if you don't have anyone living on campus yet them move an NPC to college and move them into a dorm, exit right after, this would work best with a teen/young adult who already has a relationship with your missing teen by the way. Anyway, once in that dorm/house on campus, shift+click on your active sim. Go to spawn...then tombstone of L & D. next click on the tombstone, go to option of add neighbor, keep going until you find your sims name...Lane, right? Anyway, Lane should show up on your lot and be playable. Delete the tombstone of L&D, CTRL+shift+C to bring up the cheats menu again and type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled false" to get rid of that mode, as it can cause glitches in your system.

I had something kind of similar happen in my old neighborhood, when I had two sims get divorced. He temporarily disappeared and all his needs were going into the red and he wasn't anywhere, not even in the sim bin.

Then, all of a sudden, he was.

Glad you got your vamp back. I had a sim drive home last night and his ex-girlfriend was standing in the driveway so he kept going! I thought he wasn't coming back, but he just circled the block.

Honestly, the girl is a menace.
