ive had sims 2 since the day it came out in the uk and i havent played it once, i get and error message saying "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure u have a directX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufactuer. The application will now terminate."
theres no problems what so ever on the installation of the game nor the actual directX 9.0c and it did properly install cus it took about 2-3 minutes to do i saw it copying the files.
Ive read all these forums off google basically all they say is update your drivers, get new graphics card etc, with my pc this isnt the case.
I thought maybe it was service pack 2 that may have been the problem because i read about a faulty dx9.0c within sp2, i have even formatted my pc used the top drivers and even updated the motherboard drivers, installed dx9.0c and its still sayin the error message.
I even downloaded the sims requirement tester thingy cant remember than name, but that tests to see if your pc will run it and mine passed so why isnt it workin.
heres my pc spec if anyone can help. if most of it isnt needed who cares ive read too many forums where people aint posting enough pc spec info

Ive tested the directdraw and direct3d no problems were found
There can't be any problems with my graphics card beacause i can run games like far cry, gta vice city, doom3 and quake 4 all high graphics games and then you got sims 2 which just takes the P**S basically
I even contacted EAgames, some help they were after 2 months of waiting for a reply i emailed them again and all they said was update your graphics drivers there high as i can possibly get.
I have a spare geforce FX5200 aswell i tried using that, no change the game wouldnt load but then i got the idea of puttin it in my moms pc and what a suprise the game works fine just sluggish cus its a crap pc i tried my radeon in her pc too and it yet again the game worked. ive come to the conclusion that its not my graphics card there must be something else wrong with my pc for sims 2 not to work cant see how theres much wrong considering ive formatted yesterday and installed the game and it still aint working.
