Found a couple These were all written when I was 18:

I am free!
Standing upon the crest of the hill,
Feeling the potential of my new life,
An astonishing golden sun overflowing into the newly sprung earth.
Illuminating sun rays in a kaleidoscope of colors,
Glistening off the mosaic of tumbling waves.
An iridescent rainbow,
Indigo, emerald, amber, apricot, ruby, and lavender
Rising above the purity of the atmospheric clouds,
A pearly silver dove,
Set free from the confinements of the earth,
Like the dove I have been liberated.
I was imprisioned and my warden was insecurity,
I have had deliverance!
Like the dove free in the sky,
I am free in my conscious.
Unchained, unconfined, unobstructed,
Independence from the norms of society.
The truth about me known.
Basking in my identity like the warmth of the sun.
I am free!

Endless Night

Approaching the doorway
Parched, numb mouth
Eyes twitching
Attempting to preserve a coolness
A turbulent storm inside a calm sea
Sweaty palms grasping a bouquet of unfolding roses
An offering to his goddess
The gates open before him
A frozen moment in eternity
Broken by his nervous, blushing smile
Thrusting forwards the foliage
A cracked, stuttering voice, uttering his words
The start of an endless night

Unconditional Love

******

The light shafts, hazy, illuminating
Watching under the hallway of perfect olive colored leaves
Two sitting on the rustic stone bench

******

Her fingers, long, delicate
Gliding through his hair, like otters in water
Wise, yet plush lips, grazing his forehead with love

******

His eyes, young, innocent
Smiling up into her flawless face without conditions
Safe, happy in the lap of his mother

Here is one for SBW since she likes Thunderstorms:

Thunderstorm

Thick black rolls of smoke tumbling
Fireworks of flashing fire flames
Boughs bending to touch the brown earth
Rain rattling the rambled shacks
Worms wriggling out of water worn holes
Solemnly sitting, staring out the panes in silence

Wow, Shana. You deserve a laureate just for:

Awesome

and ...

I'm nice to everyone, even if I don't like them. Hi, Mirelly!

Sniff ...

You'll get your come-uppance one of these days ;) I don't have to be nice to people just because I like them, I tend to concentrate on being nice to people I don't like to lull them into an ersatz sensation of security.

I'm not posting any more numbers now, so there! :hissyfit:

Thanks to both Mirelly and SBW. I don't share my poetry often, but I was convinced I should for you all. I have more, but there are probably a little too heavy for some of the younger eyes to see, dealing with some very emotional heavy topics. Kind of personal as well.

SOS is acronymic for Save Our Souls and was the easiest Morse code signal that anyone could reognise.

However I am perplexed to hear that you do not see a morphological similarity between SOS and 505 ...

Mirelly

Mirelly
06-09-2006, 03:01 AM
The 601st pointless datum

If you used single sub-atomic particles to represent the zeros you would still need several trillion extra universes to graphically represent a googool so a googolplex is mind-bogglingly big but even that pales into insignificance next to infinity. Infinity laughs at the puny size of a googolplex and scoffs them up like peanut-sized snacks between helpings of ludicrously large Ackerman numbers and still never needs to belch ... or get heartburn.

640! 6+4+0 is 10, while 640 is also divisible by 10, which gives you 64, which can be divisible by 4 but not 6, soo- 64/4 = 16, yet another number divisible by 4! & the root of 16 is 4 also (i swear this must be some conspiracy ;)), now when you get the root of 16, it is 4 itself! hmmm, maybe its a sign we should start from number 4 again?

I was born during the day ... not that difficult really as it was June. Back then that's really we had cos watches still had to be wound up every day and time wasn't quite so important. We were just grateful that someone bothered to make a note of the date ...

7:25 is an ideal time for breakfast :p

Ach, not really. That's what time I get up, and it usually takes my stomach an hour or so to wake.

In an ideal world, I wouldn't have to get up until 13:00 every day!

Oh. It's the summer hols now... :D 726!

When summer first started I would sleep in until almost noon...but now that I've gotten back all the sleep I missed during the school years I've been waking up at 9! Scandalous!

727.

I still haven't made up all the sleep I've lost over the past 3 school years! I think the total lost hours of sleep is probably greater than 728!
