can anyone tell me the cheat you use that allows walls and doors to be built in already made uni dorms? one of my favourite sims is dying from something in the shower, old grimmy is in there with her now but its a very small room and my other sim cant fit in the shower to plead with him. i was thinking if i bust some walls down she may be saved! (very over-dramatic i know...)
by the way i have know idea what my sim is dying of, all her mood things are fine, but before she collapsed she was clutching her throat as if she was choking.....looks like a job for the CSI team (i'm in a weird mood today)

never mind! i finaly found the cheat after several googlings - boolprop dormspecifictoolsdisabled false - worked like a charm my sim lives once more.
photos attached of poor sim dying of mysterious choking death through to the successful plead...

Did you figure out what was wrong with her?

What I don't understand is why Maxis would put in something so horrible. Is their sense of humor that wacked up? Because it doesn't look like a bug since you can actually see the sim choking, not just skipping right ahead to dying. I haven't had this happen to my sims yet, but...I am wondering.

The mystery choking death is one of those random sudden deaths like wot also afflict real people. As the bumper sticker said: <bleep> happens

:(

"bleep" happens, just blow it off...........
it was actually quite funny watching her choke, very ala buzz lightyear in the first toy story (i like cartoons)
from this experience i have learned though to make all the communal showers bigger, incase of life threatening emergencies, and i suggest the same......

Well. As long as you learnt from the most unfortunate experience, and your sim still survived, then no harm done! :)

I've never had that happen, she says, thus dooming herself to losing a sim that way ...

Yes, I am very prone to jinxing myself. I just found out that my sister's friend got her the same present I did, and I remember saying at the mall, "Gee, I hope no one else gets her this!"
