Sims 2 SLOW MOTION?...Not choppy.

Hello. When I try to run the Sims 2 it runs in slow motion. It doesn't suffer from low frame rates or lag, it's literally in slow motion. I know it isn't a faulty copy because it works on my other computer. I have tried reinstalling a few times and it still does it even after installing University and Nightlife.

The system meets the min spec. Amd athlon 1.3 ghz, 512 mb ram, 128 mb ati radeon 9250.

Any ideas on what could cause this?

1) CPU - 1.3ghz Athlon Thunderbird
2) RAM/Memory - How Much - 512mb sdram
3) Free Hard Disk Space - 25gb approx
4) Total Hard Disk Space - 40 approx
5) Graphic/Video Card - ati radeon 9250 128 mb
6) Graphic/Video Card Driver Version - most recent Catalyst driver
7) DirectX Version - 9.0c
8) Operating System - Windows XP Pro
9) Sims 2 CD or DVD Version - CD
10) Nature of problem - As I said earlier, the game runs in slow motion, it doesn't suffer from particularly low frame rates or lag, it just runs slowly during gamesplay.
