I just reformatted my computer because it stopped working, so I had to reinstall TS2. The install worked just fine... No errors. However, when I try to start the game, the splash screen comes up, then after it disappears, nothing happens. If I try to start the game again, the same thing happens, only that the "Send/Don't send" thing comes up... I've tried reinstalling the game and I've updated my video drivers and I have DirectX 9.0c.
Please help me :(

Run Your Game and then let it crash. From there,
Goto Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
Look for an Error with Sims 2 under the Applications Category. Post the details here.

Nevermind. I fixed the problem by turning off Daemon tools.

Faulting application sims2.exe, version 1.0.0.932, faulting module ~deeca4.tmp, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00023237.
Its worked before on the same laptop but I had to uninstall and reinstall and it didnt work. Please Help!!!

Are you running any Daemon tools?

I have the same problem and I have installed the Sims 2 Nightlife but the problem stays.
I ran the game, let it crash and looked for the event viewer and here is what it states:

I've found the DAEMON files on my computer, but what is it and how do I take it off? Do I just send it to the recycle bin?
