I got the ep Nightlife from my sweet mother as a christmas gift, and I've installed it and played it. Now I've bought University, and I wonder whether I can just install it, or if I have to uninstall NL first, since that ep came after Uni.
If I can install it right now, "on top" of NL, is there anything special I should think about?

I would just install Uni over NL. If it turns into a huge firey ball visible from space then start over (Backup, reinstall...).

Okey :) it's just that I had a lot of problems when installing NL, with graphicdrivers-yadiyada, that's why I asked ^.^

I heard you should install in the order the EP's were released. I would actually uninstall NL first, just to be on the safe side, then reinstall after installing Uni.

Ooh no! If you have saved games from Nightlife (without Uni) then uninstalling NL will render them forever useless. If you wanna scrap your saved games completly then by all means go ahead but in that case I would suggest uninstalling the game completely, do complete defrag and then reinstall the base game followed by Uni then NL. But if you want to play your current families ... just bung Uni in on top ... if the game becomes a Big Fiery Ball Visible From Alpha Centauri just don't blame me, blame Maxis :rolleyes:

I had a saved custom-neighborhood folder for NL without University and when I got University I uninstalled NL, then reinstalled after Univ. I was able to use the saved folder that I had previously without a problem.
I would suggest you just backup the saved game folder(s) to someplace else on your disk (outside of the EA games folders). Uninstall NL, install Univ, and reinstall NL. You shouldn't have a problem and at least you are installing in the recommended order. This is what I did.

I actually forgot Deva would have probably played since installing NL... :rolleyes:
