i know you can get robots because i saw them in a sims story on the sims2 website but i don't know how to get them plz plz tell me if you can actually get robots or if its just a costume someone designed!!!

There are no robots in Sims2. You may have seen Zombies which characters are available with the Uni EP. Also, someone may have designed a costume for downloading. I have midieval (sp?) armor I downloaded. Some of the career outfits are pretty strange looking, like the criminal mastermind outfits. :p

But I'd be real curious to see that story you found. Can you tell us more specifically where on the Sims2 site?

you go to www.sims2.com (http://www.sims2.com) then you go into exchange and go to storys and go to the search box type in robots and click on one of the story pictures.

Found it. Neat. But they are certainly downloads. The mad scientist career does lead to one mechanical hand, however, which I can see has been used for some of the robots.

In the new movie for Open For Business, you can see that a sim will be able to create robots. That should be pretty cool.

Thanks for the link, Amaretti. I downloaded the first one (a much smaller file) and it's pretty cool. Although the creator is quite poetic in his/her description of the download, it is actually a skintone. I played with it a little in body shop, making adult male and female sims as well as children, all looking like robots. I gave them pointy ears, too. :p Don't know where I'll put them in my game yet, but I'll find a place. ;)
