Cannot Install The Game!

I just got The Sims 2 for X-Mas....when I try to install the game...I get to disk 3 and at about 73% it tells me that there has been a error copying a file. Ive tried everything I could think of. Cleaning the disk, ive tried to do a manual install by making folders and coping the CD contents into the folder...ive tried defraging my comp. Nothing I do will work and im starting to get pretty discouraged. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:D

You might have a bad disk. Contact Maxis Customer service and see if they can replace it.
