I think he said Brainerd or Bemidji, sorry I always get those two mixed up.
And, yep. Sedately weird is a very apt way of putting it.

So they can get bitten by a vampire wannabe?
I'd think they'd run in the other direction. If they're smart they will, anyway.
BTW, those of you who don't live here probably don't realize just how hilarious we find the movie Fargo. At least all my friends and I do, because we know people exactly like that.
OK, not crazy psychos who put their friends in the wood chipper, maybe, but the rest of the characters ... oy vey. Or should I say, Uff Da?
Daaad? You stayin' for supper? :D

And that scene where William H Macy's wife is watching TV, and she looks up and sees the guy in the ski mask, holding the axe, peering in - and she just sits there looking at him quizzically...Any other state in the union, and she'd have run for the front door screaming...But here in the frozen north, this is something that might happen!
She was probably thinking to her self, "Now, is that Ed Johnson from next door? Has he been out chopping firewood? I wonder what he wants??":D

I actually find the kidnapping scene to be the worst, which is why I don't watch that movie anymore. I saw it three times when it first came out, but that was before I became a mother ... something about motherhood changed my whole perspective on that movie.
Steve Buscemi's character kinda deserved the woodchipper. He was a worm, and a murderer.
The nice mom character didn't deserve anything that happened to her. And, that poor little boy ... his whole life ruined because his dad was a cowardly idiot.
Still, it's a very funny movie otherwise. Three of my sister's friends are in it (she knows a lot of the actors hereabouts).
And LOL, Sacharissa, that's very true. I think I have a couple of those mask things in my house.
