Hope you have a good one, either with your sweetie or just with those you love. Anyone got any good romantic plans?

Happy Valentine's to you too Shana.

Hate to say it, but I'm not really a Valentine's person. Just another card company gimmick I think. Although, there was a vase of roses waiting on the bench for me when I got up. Mr. Allie picked them off our rose bush on his way in from night shift this morning. Sheer fluke that there were nice ones on the bush in the first place though. So cynical at such a young age ;)

I had a really nice day, even though I'm single but I'm not really bothered about that, and I had my phone taken off me in school (stupid 02). I was quite worried about that actually, since its my birthday tommorrow, and sometimes you don't get your phone back until Friday or (eep!) even the end of term. Luckily for me though, Friday is the end of term :p. I was very happy, walked into class announcing loudly in a lovely floaty happy voice (also adding a spin to show my happiness) 'Happy Valentines Day, Everyone!' I also got the added bonous of walkin round in fairy wings all afternoon. HAPPY VAL'S DAY, EVERYONE!

I'm sick with the flu :(. But V-day was really for me yesterday, I bought my lady a dozen green roses and a big brownie heart.

Ooh, green roses, that's cool.

Does going to Perkins for dinner count as something special? :o

Hey, at least the kid's excited.

Lol, I'm not sure, if you never go out to eat, sure it does! We don't have plans yet...Brandon actually scheduled to get his taxes done at 5:30...he got some crap for that one. And he leaves for work by 10pm, so I don't know if we'll even go out. If we do, maybe we'll see you at Perkins!

Which one do you go to? We have one in our neighborhood, on 27th and Franklin. It's probably the worst one in town. I'll bet you go to the one in Rosedale, off 35W.

Makes you want to come to ours, though, doesn't it? :D

You're right. The Perkins by Rosedale is brand new now, they tore down the old Perkins when they tore down Target and upgraded to a Super Target. It is a nice Perkins, only been there once though. Or else we go the Perkins in Maplewood, it's equal distance to both as we live right off 36 and Rice. I'm doubting we'll do that tonight though...we might upgrade to Applebees! ;)

Oooh, fancy. Hope you're not too good to speak to me now. ;)

LOL, of course not! We ended up just buying a couple of steaks and I broiled them last night instead. I called a couple of places to find out their waiting times and it was all over an hour. So we opted in. So I'm not too fancy yet!

Hey, everyone, just as a follow up ... my husband isn't big on Valentine's Day. He thinks romance should be more spontaneous. For the actual day we took our daughter to Perkins (hey, kids eat free on Tuesdays and she loves the place) and rented Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were Rabbit. (Very funny movie, btw.)

But this morning I woke up to a dozen pink roses and a very nice, mushy card that made me sniffle.

I think I'll keep him. :)

Well, keeping a husband is a big responsibility. I don't care if he followed you home...

Hehe, couldn't resist.

Hehe, couldn't resist. That's a good one, Rowan. And thanks, because I think I'll use it, with slight adjustments, the next time my husband says, "I think I'll keep you." :D
