 is it possible to add roads or water to your neighborhood screen? or even to delete roads? i know you can add like ocean water but i am making like a country neighborhood and i dont want as many roads as my neighborhood has and would like to add like a lake or a bigger river.
if you are not able to change that stuff does anyone know how to create your a custom neighborhood??
thanks:hissyfit:

I think you already posted this question. No need to post more than once so please don't. :)

Neighborhood roads cannot be edited within the game. You can make custom neighborhood terrains with Sims City 4 though ... more expense

Unfortunately no because the core engine is totally different.

I'm willing to make a custom neighborhood that you could use if you post a reasonable description of what you want ... :)

that would be cool.
if you can make one that has a big lake, doesnt matter where on the map it is, and have like mountains w/a flat top so that i can put houses on top of the mount. if its possible to put curvy roads could you also put some of those ( i wouldnt care where) really the main things that i want is the big lake, mounts. and plenty of places for houses around the lake and on top of mounts.
thanks alot!:D

Hmmm ... I'll see what I can do, though that's not actually gonna be easy ;) Gimme a couple of days and I'll see what I can come up with, OK?

Actually fitting a lake and mountains all on one itty little SC4 map is quite a challenge. My first attempt was utter rubbish. My second set my screen a flashing like a strobe ... seems that TS2 got confused when I tried naming the second attempt with the same name as the first attempt :(

Anyway. I learned a few snippets along the way. I cranked up my puter's graphics to max all round and plopped down some houses by the lake and moved in a newly minted sim (Callum Collect_Kidd ;)) to see if he liked it. He did :p.

As can be seen from the pair of shots the view of the neighbours and of the lake ain't much to write home about compared to the view from the same spot in the neighborhood screen.

Anway. I quite like the terrain now I've made it and will probably use it myself next time I decide to go wild with recklessness and start up yet another hood.

The zip contains the terrain and png files so you can replace the crappy default menu pic

Sorry. Now your secret is out. ;)

I've never created a neighborhood in SC4 to use in TS2 so I didn't know that you could have a flat topped mount. for a sim to live on. I guess though as long as a road leads down to the the acctual neighborhood it should work. Learn something new every day I guess.

It looks nice!

I love it! I really like how you made the mountains and places for houses to go on top.
