This is quite an easy game. All you need to do is guess the name of the car that I post. Once someone has posted the correct name of the car and I have said that it was correct, you can either post your own car for people to guess or I can post another one if you don't want to. A list of previous winners are posted below...

HHHHHHHHHHHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

And the first car is...

How specific do we have to be with the pictures? Do we have to include the model name, or just the brand name?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. You'll have to guess the exact model of the car.

Does this include year too?

Condraz23

No, you won't need the year of the car. That would make this game way too hard. I should have said these earlier, sorry about that. Anyway, how would you be able to guess the exact year of a car? A 1997 Toyota Prius and a 1999 one would look virtually the same.

LOL, but a 1989 Toyota Camry and a 2000 one looks totally different :p

Mirelly

Oh I dunno, is it a Toyota MR5?

Condraz23

Mirella got the brand name right. However, it is not a Toyota MR5. Can anyone here guess what model of Toyota it is?

Argh, it's wrecking my brain. I've seen this model tons of times back in LA, especially the 2003-05 models that EVERYONE drives.

My guess is <place-holder>. :p

I woke up to the thought of "NOW I REMEMBER! That's a Celica!" in my head. It better be right.:silly:

Mirelly

Were Celicas made with false air intakes in front of the rear wheel arches to make it look like it has a mid-mounted engine? ... jeez I can't believe I am having a car-nerdy discussion. I couldn't give a tinker's for automobiles as a rule but I must admit to a passion for mid-engine mounts. I once borrrowed a friend's Fiat X19 (http://www.epinions.com/content_128077827716) (1300cc)
http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/d7/b5/1975_Fiat_X19-resized200.jpg
to race my own Triumph Stag (http://www.genevieve-car-hire.co.uk/Stag/Stagpics.htm) (V8 3 litre)
http://www.genevieve-car-hire.co.uk/Stag/thmb/thmb_Stag2.JPG
... the Stag lost :o in spite of the fact that my friend was a better driver which proves that Italians make better sports cars than Brits.

Wish I still had that Stag tho' ... she was a pretty beast; thirsty and no cornering grip worth writing about, but with roof off she was summat else ...

Thanks everyone for your replies. It is not a Toyota Celica, by the way. Mirelly got it almost right. It is a mid-engined car and seats two people. That's what the air vents are there for. Anyway, good luck with your guessing.

For some reason the MR2 screams in my mind...I don't know why...

Reckon you're on the money there, Josh. I might go an set fire to mister google after I failed utterly to find any pics of an 80's MR anything the other day. I gave up after 2 minutes and posted a random number out of frustration. I just looked up again and found an MR2 fansite

Try adding a Mk I to MR2 ;)

Nice to see we have always had gears-heads hidden amongst us. I dunno much about cars or car mechanics, but I'm getting there slowly. I would fire up GT4 and see if there's any lucky candidate in the Toyota line, but I'm playing something else, so that's out of the question. I'll just hang around and try to learn something instead.

Yay! You got the model name of the car right! It is indeed a Toyota MR2. The Toyota MR2 is a light-weight, mid-engined, two-seater sports car made by Toyota since the 1980's.

Does anyone want to post a photo of a car for people to guess? I've changed the rules so that everyone can post their own photo if they want to.

Okay, next image...

Be careful with your guesses. It's been modified so it may look somewhat diffrent from the original specification.

Ooh another red one ...

Looks like it started out as a 1980's Honda Accord ...

I'm guessing Honda Prelude...not sure the year though. It's hard to tell from this angle.

My Grandad had a Prelude. And an Acrod. Strange, huh?

I'd say it was more like the Prelude. I think. I get confused.

Them Acrods were the weirdest things on 5 wheels, weren't they? :p

I'm guessing Honda Prelude...not sure the year though. It's hard to tell from this angle.

It seems that you were first. It is indeed a fine example of a late 1980's red Honda Prelude. Sorry for the odd angle of the photo. The Honda Accord was very similar to the Honda Prelude in terms of design so it probably looked confusing to some.

Since no-one wants to post their own photos, here is the third car for everyone to guess...

It's hard finding a non-red car these days...

Oooh, when I said I was confused I meant that I just have no clue about cars. I just copied Josh - but I did however realise it was a Honda. Quite proud of meself for that.

The Acrod was fantastic! Especially the wings. And the bubble blower.

Looks like the old Honda Civic Hatchbacks :)

Condraz23

That's correct ManajerJosh. It is a mid-1980's Honda Civic.

Condraz23

A Silvia by Nissan perhaps?

Want me to post a stinker?

Condraz23
04-11-2006, 01:12 AM
Yup, reckon you're right Mirelly. It is a late 1980's Nissan Silvia. The Nissan Silvia was a great car and is a favourite among the tuning and drifting crowd.

By the way, feel free to post your own photo if you want.
