First off is that there are some great pets here so say good bye to current pets hello real pets.

I actually like the fact of finally having a garden. I so tempted to go plant one.

The community area looks neat and I like the bus too. It looks so classical :)

I've been wanting cats for a long time, and downloaded all the user created cats I could find. ^-^ I've also wanted a garden for the longest time, I like making stuff to have a kind of faerie forest theme to some of my neighborhoods, being able to grow food sounds great to me! I AM hoping that there will be some sort of cheat to deal with the... cleaning up after animals part. ^-^ I don't want my poor sims running around doing nothing but scooping poop!

Well I went and read the chat transcript... I'm becoming an obsessed geek about this! I never looked up game reviews before... I went and read the reviews by Gamers Temple and IGN. The IGN site had pictures that were different from the screenshots I was seeing in all the other reviews/previews so I got all excited and was looking... then SUDDENLY it says I can only seee 5 pictures a day and have to pay money for more!! arrrgh!! Guess I'll be pathetic and go back tomorrow and the next day to see the rest....

There's a lot of stuff about it at sims bbs, as it seems there are some problems

problems? What kinds of problems have they run across so far? I would be interested in hearing about them, I haven't run into any... yet... but I haven't gotten too far. :)

Installproblems mainly ... and some more. You can easily find lots about it on the BBS at sims homepage. Seems people on XP runs into some.

XP should be the most trouble-free system. I think rentechd can testify to that :D

It probably is if you know how to handle it. Many don't. They buy this new puter .... with the OS preinstalled. They come home and puts in all these games... What about configs,? Noone really knows how things are installed from the beginning. Or wich adjustments can be necessary.

I read, that there are problems with buyable Clothing. As SimEnhancer and SimWardrobe do not work, you have to go to Downtown to buy. If you buy downloaded clothing everything seems zo be ok, but at least when you reopen the game, the sims have their old clothing again. Is this true?

Hi Wolf. Nice to meet you.

Dunno but some have probs. getting downloaded clothing into the right folder so they actually show up in the downtown shops.

To learn how to adjust operativesystems correctly... can be tricky if you're not educated.

I think your local store should be able to do that for you. Here (my country) you also lack instructions very often (who almost can't be understood easily anyway). So most users doesn't have the basic knowledge how to do it. (Don't know if I have it myself really.)

Solution: Simpler instructions that actually gives foolproof directions of where, when and how.

I know a lot about the Sims and I know how to make Skins buyable in downtown. I only read, that there are Problems with unleashed because something has been changed
I read this in the support section of SimEnhancer and that worries me a bit because I like to change clothing for swimwear, lingerie and formal

nice to hear from someone, not so far away. I know about the BBS forum but they are closed since yesterday and though I could write a message there, when I tried to send it, there came a message "site not available". So I still have no answer.
In Germany, many people could buy unleashed since Thursday and so many questions will come. But until now there is only much excitement about the new features.
I have many postings in the largest german forum at Sims Zone and there I mainly try to help people with Programms.So I look out in foreign forums to learn more about such things.
Is unleashed and Sims Deluxe buyable in Sweden?

perhaps someone is interrested to hear that the following tools do not work with unleashed:
All tools from Paladin except Sim Catagorizer, no tools from SimEnhancer and not SimLifecycle.

Rick Halle, the creator of SimEnhancer warns to use it. Though it seems that some changes are ok, it may be, that the game crashes later. But he ist working on an update

Sim Lifecycle has been causing trouble all ready before i've learned at The Sims chat. So everyone's actually is warning for it. The sim catagoriser I've heard good things about. Personally I've never used any of the above, so I can't judge. ;)

I love unleashed, and in my opinion it is the best expansion pack yet. The new hood screen is awesome, and the community lots are cool. I made my first one and am loving it!! The new NPC's are awesome.

Heh. I could go on in this vein, but mostly it would be......this is awesome, blah blah, this is cool, blah blah, this is great....LOL

The only negative thing I have to say, is that Unleashed makes the game very challenging. Which, in my case is still awesome. :p

I guess I will start changing my sims clothes and dealing with the downtown buyables and see if everything still works ok in Unleashed, I've been so busy with all the NEW stuff I haven't been Downtown yet in Unleashed, just running out to the community areas, "Old Town" hehe!! :D
Hi Reni, nice to meet you!! Glad you take instructions well. :P I agree it makes the game very challenging, I just started my "focus" family in my neighborhood and moved them into the cheapest pre-made house that came in the new added neighborhood area, I plan to NOT use the money cheat, and to have them get jobs, have a kid, get a pet, and move up through the work and make friends, AND move from one house to the next most expensive as they get richer! I'm probably taking on more than I can handle.. but it sounds fun.... wish me luck in my madness! :p

Nah, really it shouldn't be that hard, I have a family that has 2 pets and a child that was born into the family after creation.

The mom stays home and gardens, the son helps out. The dad is currently a Tight Rope Walker, LOL.

Oh good, I'm glad someone else is managing to juggle it all! :) I think I may need to make my computer faster to get it all done though, I was 50mhz short of the minimum speed requirements for the game... it takes my family 8 hours of game time to get up, shower and bathroom, cook and eat breakfast/lunch... by the time they are ready to go for the day they are worn out! I think this will be fixed if I get my computer upgraded though!

Did you notice that Unleashed seems to have speeded up things? At least in my case......maybe. But it seems that it has. So maybe when you get it, it will be a little faster.

at least I have it but after several crashes I had io reinstall all add-ons. Now it does work, but I think there is a great bug. After reinstallation all my sims wore all the same terrible swimwear, lingerie and formal from Maxis. I sent them to downtown and there they could buy all my stauuf, I downloaded in former times. After returning home, everythig was ok. But next time, when I reopened the game, alls sims hat their old clothing again.
Has anyone of you, who have unleashed had the chance to buy downloaded clothing that remains with the sim even after reloading the game?

I've seen some other users having the same trouble on The Sims BBS. However, I've yet to visit downtown....too busy with Old Town. When I play later tonight, I'll have to check that out.

Same here on the complete Uninstall/Reinstall. I've had to do that when every new expansion pack came out. Also still have some bugs if somebody wants to take them on?

1. My animals get stuck in the playhouses.

2. Sometimes I can't click on anything and have to shut the whole game down and open it back up.

3. This may or may not be a bug.....but it seems that the number of rabbits and mice are far too much. I believe that when LL came out there was a similar issue with the roaches. Not sure though.

SimEnhancer will be out with a new update in a few days. It has amazingly new features and does work with unleashed. It will cost some money with a deduction of $5,-- for those who already own it. One person told me, it would cost $ 14,95.

Perhaps this will solve the problem with the clothing, you buy in vain at downtown:)

yes, but I don`t know, wether it works with unleashed.
Sim Enhancer does a lot more, you can Change Relationships, Clothing, Interests, even skin type and there are lots of other features. Take a look at the site. Even now I think, it is the best tool ever made for the sims

I haven't gotten any bunnies or rats or any other pests besides the skunk to show up yet, so I don't know if my sims will be overrun by unusual numbers of pests yet... I remember how the roaches were though, yipes!!

EliSims was orginally created to make multiple neighborhoods. But you can do alot more in it. You can delete hoods, and modify careers, and skill points. It also checks for skins that are bad, by looking for lost meshes. Other stuff too. It's pretty cool.....you can check it out at:

How bout you..how do u eat your carrots?

Raw, whole once.. just peeled and washed (like snacks), or boiled easily in thicker slices in light salted water (add a lil bit sugar tooo - gives a better taste) no more than 5 minutes. :p Or raw shredded with mayo and raisins as a salad.. or...... however you like them.. They're excellent to stuff a chicken with together with apples and have in the owen.. You can always use them one way or another.. :):p;)

heehee I finally caught up on THIS thread... it's nice to know I was missed, I'm glad my computer was NOT flooded when I got back!! :p

I LOVE carrots, I like to put them in stuffings and dressings and just about anything that asks for celery I either replace it with carrots, or add carrots too. :) I never tried stuffing a chicken with carrots and apples, but it sounds like it might be good, I'll have to try that!

OK chatterbox, see where it says "Post Reply" and has a button with what looks like a little paper and pencil? Well if you click on THAT instead of just writing in this box here where it says "Post Quick Reply", you should see a table on the left that shows the codes for making smilie faces here. I'll try doing some codes with an extra space in the middle and see if they show up as smilies or if you can see the codes, ok?
