My autoplay doesn't work! Help!!

My laptop spec : (Sony Vaio, VGN-580B)

Processor: Intel Pentium M Processor 740 (1.73 GHz, Cache 2 MB)
System Memory RAM : 512MB
Windows Version (98/XP etc.)
Free Hard Disk Space : 15 GB
Total Hard Disk Space : 60 GB
DirectX Version : 9.0c
Display Adapter (Graphic/Video Card) : Intel Graphrics Median Accelerator 900 DVMT 128 MB (shared)
Game Detail : Sims 2 CD
DVD-CDRW : Mat****a DVD-CDRWWhenever I put my Sim2 disk 1 into my DVD-CDRW, the autoplay doesn't work. And I tried to install it manually by double clicked the setup icon. Nothing happen. I thought it was the cd, but when I tried it on my desktop computer, it works..

Please help me !!!

You need to go to My Computer\Control Panel.

There should be an icon marked "Disk Detector" Open it and check the checkbox "Enable Disk Detector"

(This is how it looks in Windows 2000 - Me, XP, etc might be somewhat different)

My computer is running on Xp-sp2. Can you tell me where is it??

My Computer > Right Click CD Drive > Properties

Select Autoplay tab.
