This is a list of persons and organizations which have demonstrated by their words and actions to be hostile to MATY. Doing business with these organizations is not recommended and consorting with these individuals may be subversive. If you know of anyone doing business or consorting with these organizations and persons, report them! They may be SPIES and TRAITORS!

Inge Jones: This individual has declared her hatred of MATY, believes MATY to be anathema, and actively seeks its destruction. Is responsible for the most serious attack on MATY to date. A shameless and utterly wicked individual: no act is too underhanded or depraved, no atrocity too vile. This individual is considered to be an Enemy of the People.
Oriana of MTS2: This individual participated alongside Inge in the attack on MATY and has bragged about it. Little else is known about this individual, other than that she is clearly an Inge lackey. This individual is considered to be an Enemy of the People.
Domainsite.com: An association of shysters and thieves posing as DNS registrars, this company is presently holding the original MATY DNS for ransom, and attempted to hide Inge's involvement in this atrocity. Do not do business with these bandits. Do not be fooled by their alleged "low costs", for they will surely attempt to hold your domain for ransom! If you presently use their services, attempt to escape quickly and quietly.
Josh of Worldsims: An Inge crony, this individual has recently declared his desire to see MATY not return and attempted to facilitate this by destroying the backup server following the Inge attack. This individual is considered to be an Enemy of the People.
Worldsims.org: Home of Josh. Given the hostile stance of the Head Admin above, this site is not considered MATY-friendly.
"Goddess Byline": Another Inge crony. This individual is considered to be an Enemy of the People.
"jmtmom": Another Inge crony, possibly a lackey of one of the above individuals. This individual is considered to be an Enemy of the People.
Rentech.com: An old enemy of MATY since inception, they don't tend to do much of value. They are not considered to be MATY-friendly, but are believed to be largely harmless. Not the real DNS of the site.
Rentech: Owner of the above. Has declared implacable hostility towards MATY and tends to ban MATY citizens on sight. Few beers short of six-pack.

b) He moved his site and used the webspace I gave him as backup storage against the Terms of Service I might add....

I've been around long enough to know that some people take advantage of the more generous souls among us. It's sad. And it's hard not becoming bitter about it. But don't. I've had a good time with Worldsims and I know that a lot of other people have, too.

For pete's sake (and I've always wondered whether pete should be Pete :o ) I have been having a hard time not having access to Worldsims due to painters in the house. I'm addicted to these conversations. This is a very interesting group of people and friends. :D

Well somehow inexplicably, I too am an enemy of MATY. It's all very bizzare as I'm not even a creator, don't have a website, don't really even know any of my "fellow conspirators". So I came over here to meet them.

Going to MATY just isn't worth it anymore. Some interesting hacks, but the psychotic crank act just isn't cute anymore. Too bad, I got some really good info and help on the forum, learned how to use simpe, bin hair, make my own custom defaults...

Ah well, I need to get back to my real life anyhow. Far fewer psychos here.

Welcome. I see this is your first post. I'm at MATY too but I've been kind of turned off by all the stupidity. There are a lot of smart people there, don't get me wrong, and a lot who know how to be civil, but there are one or two that seem to really enjoy being childish and mean (and I'm not necessarily talking about the site's founder).

Plus, a lot of in-jokes that apparently I am not meant to get. I do enjoy some of the humor, and like you I like the benefits the hacks give my game, but I don't think I'd be welcome there, not that I ever really felt at home.

I don't think you'll get much of any of the above here. This is by far my favorite sims site for that reason, and because I feel like I've made some real friends on this site.

So anyway, hope you enjoy your stay.

O yea and just in case any of the MATY trolls comes across this thread, FOR THE RECORD, Pescado's so called backup server is MINE. It's his former hosting account here with me before he packed up and moved this his little corner of the world over at MTS2.

I'm under no obligation to provide Pescado a server for his hosting needs as

a) It's a violation of the Terms of Service
b) He's not paying me any form of compensation to use the server (money, ad revenue, paypal donation, etc.). He's been using it free of charge since day one till closing day.


I'm a very nice guy, and always willing to help people out. But I'm not a doormat that you can walk on and take advantage of. I've been more than generous and flexible to accomodate Pescado's needs but after that unappreciative attitude, it's as if he's king and that I owe him something. I most certainly do not and nor do I appreciate being taken advantage of.

From what I've been reading, it seems people are feeling a little intimidating over there at the moment. I don't blame them really, I was too scared to even say something incase the wrath of Pes was rained down on me. :rolleyes: Personally I much prefer Worldsims. It's a nice little family here. You know this is none of my business and I probably shouldn't be saying anything at all but I'm going to throw my 2 cents in anyway. Josh it seems to me that you did treat him like a paying customer, for a long time too. By that I mean that I remember him saying he was having some sort of problem and you seemed to try your best to fix it. When you really get down to brass tacks that's all that you are supposed to do even for a paying customer. You should not be expected to allow someone to abuse you or downgrade you.

Now that my 2 cents are in the ring that's about all I have to say.

That said, I treat him like a paying customer anyway. It's not necessary a two way street. It's only a one way street and that a decision on my part being should I treat him like a non paying customer and give him lessor priority OR should I treat him like all the other customers who compensate for their free hosting with ads and give him standard level priority? I chose the latter because that's who I am and I try to treat people with utmost respect and dignity.

I was just coming back to say that otherwise I agree completely with what you have to say. You do treat people very nicely here, even cantankerous ones.

And I wanted to say also, if Mr. Pescado is reading this, that I bear him no ill will. I've always enjoyed his posts, up to this little fit he seems to be having. If this is an example of his sense of humor it's pretty well hidden from me. It just seems strange, since he seemed like a reasonable person up to now. Grouchy, occasionally mean, yes, but more or less reasonable.

So anyway, I miss the old Pescado and hope he comes back some day.

I've got enough to take care of in RL, this stuff is supposed to be fun, an escape. He's crossed a line now and I just don't want to deal with it anymore. If that means living without his hacks and forums, I can do that.

This just further bolsters my theory that JMP is a very spoiled teenager that lives in his mother's basement.

I think it's all very sad. I play with many of his "awesome" hacks. I post over here because y'all are my friends. I post over there because I also consider those people my friends. (I guess until I became a known "spy").

The Sims are my hobby and I will continue to enjoy my Sims. I'm guessing I haven't been banned there yet, I haven't tried to post, though.

:) Thanks Babe. I like Mirelly's new one better. I'm aggervated with the size of my Avatar. It's too little to see that it's my self-sim having a chat with the social bunny. She started acting rather strangely a couple of days before she went with Grimmy and the hula girls. She ran around in her house-coat, forgot to get in the car when the family went on an outing, and had several talks with the social bunny. I don't think that Widowhood suited her. :cry:

I have had an explanation of what happened when I finally cooled down enough to go to MATY chat and talk to Pescado. The site downtime was real. But it was was not an illegal hacking attack, it was someone lodging a complaint in a legal manner (I don't mean a legal complaint, I mean the complainer did not act improperly). The domain was disabled due to this complaint being followed up. N.B. I did not have anything to do with this.

The following days consisted of Pescado making the most of this event to amuse himself - and I have described it as a joke of his, because to him I believe it was.

I could have actually laughed it off, and intended to do so. However, the resulting rumours have led some people to think I am a site-hacker. Therefore I have made the reluctant decision that if in the future I see any posts anywhere I visit naming me as someone who attacked the MATY site, I will be making formal complaints. Sorry to sound like a wet blanket.

And finally I want to thank my many many friends for the wonderful support they have given me during this episode :)

You know, I said on the thread in question, "please tell me this is a big belated April Fool's joke," and J.M.'s response was, "if only it were that simple". It all seemed... rather unlikely to me, but then again, I've seen some pretty ridiculous internet drama in modding communities before.

Whatever else it did, it brought this site to my knowledge, which I think is a good thing, it seems like there are some pretty cool and laidback people here :).

I personally am very fond of your light controller. I like ceiling lighting, but hate the way the lights make it hard to see what's going on, so almost every one of my lots has that little CD on the floor by the front door.

Actually, Josh, I have often wondered if you find time to sit down and play the game and, if so, what your neighborhoods are like, and how many generations have you got in one family. ;)
