Yep! I normally love Sunday's, I get to laze in bed (again :p) til gone 1. Sometimes I stay in bed all day, just watching Friends. I have such a hard life!
Today I went out with some friends though, to the Trafford Centre. Twas quite koolio! We sat in Starbucks and had a gossip, just like in Friends! (Lol - obsessed? Who, me? No!) Then when I got back I had my Sunday Dinner at Nan's and then Mum's mate rang up asking if I was free to babysit tonight. Just got back.
Awh, Mirelly! Cyber-hugs to you! Don't get those tissues that are supposed to kill 99.9% of bacteria though. I read a thing saying that they are just a waste of simoleans 'cos bacteria like that won't survive on an ordinary tissue anyway.
Oh hmmmm.... Michelle!

Wow, it took a while for me to get back here.
Me: "Hello. My name is Meg, and I am a Sims 2 addict."
All: "Hello Meg!"
Me: "Well, it all started in college. One of my friends from high school invited me to his dorm room and showed me this game that was call The Sims. It was amazing....:eyepopping: "

No, me.
Just waking up and still extremely tired. Puppy waking up at 5am for the toilet, me not getting to bed til 12.30 anyway, man coming home at 7 from work to wake me up then as well. Grrr, not enough sleep makes Allie a sad girl.
Anyways, I'll keep with the trend.

LOL. Trouble is when I come to guess I always forget to look first to see who's online. BTW SBW I'm not surprised you get confused by time. I mean to USA the rest of the "western" world is to your east and the far east is to your west  The UK is 5-8 hours ahead of the 3 main US time zones FWIW ;)

Oh my goodness, do we live the same life? I had the exact same experience except for a dog waking me at 5am it was my cat Tanner with one of those balls with the little bell inside of it wanting to play fetch. He's a weird cat...he seriously plays fetch. But anyway, I also didn't go to bed till 12:30 and my man also came into my bedroom after work at 7am to wake me up. I thought I was the only one with a man on the nightshift. Mine had to work late this morning and he was supposed to take the kid to school, plus her lunchbox was in the car, so I couldn't pack her lunch until he got home ... anyway, school starts at 8 and he got home at 7:45.
Cutting it a wee bit close, methinks.
And, lucky you guys that you get woken up at 7 a.m. If I'm not up before then I'm in trouble.

I'm here...and very very tired. I got up early this moring. Brandon didn't go to work last night, because he had to be down at Maplewood PD at 6:30 to get ready for the President coming to town. He's speaking at the 3M building in Maplewood and since Brandon is a reserve police officer for Maplewood he gets to help with blocking all the traffic. He was excited just to be a part of it...it was kind of cute. Anyway, I got up early at 6am vs. my normal 7 to saw goodbye to him. Luckily the path Pres. Bush was taking didn't effect my drive to work.

Nope you're stone cold. Tis me fresh from an impromtu sesh with the lush Mister Gere ... I don't check the TV schedules often but twice in the last two days I've gotten an instant fix of goodness. Yesterday lunchtime I caught the last in the series Des & Mel lunchtime show cos they had the excrutiatingly funny Joe Pasquale as an opening guest ... how anyone could follow JP is beyond me. Almost every syllable that escapes that man's mouth cracks me up. Then this eveing I find myself trapped under a cat with only a bottle of Aussie shiraz and the TV remote control within reach. Luckily I found a channel with Occifer and a Gentleman just commencing. Cat got damp and I got squiffily emotional ... hic ... ;)

You know, I was practically sweating when I was getting ready for work today, so I'm wearing a light-weight, short-sleeved shirt, and I think it's getting down into the 50s right about now. Brrrrr!! It's a good thing I had a jacket in my car. BTW, can you believe I'm excited about 50-degree weather? We've been having a 70- and 80-degree winter here in Houston. Stupid weather...:mads:

Hi! Haven't really been around this week. Been busy busy busy! I got OFB. Been on once, and it's fabby so far. I accomplished nothing. Sat there waiting for the 'create a sim' screen to load, shouting at my Dad who was being annoyingly dumb on the PS2 - I mean, if there's a German Nazi soldier stood at the wall with a big gun, you don't walk over to him do you? I wouldn't walk over to anyone stood at a wall with a big gun - not even my Mum! And then it finally did load, as there was a knock at the door, and some friends wanted to go out. Dad died at the mercy of the German Nazi's several times, while I moaned about the upcoming Science exam and how I was FAILING outside on the wall. We were all happy!
I did actually. Fail the exam, I mean. Oh well. I'll retake it, work harder - I'll make it in the end. And it's not as though a career in journalism will depend on 5% of my Science GCSE, is it? I'll be okay.
I also had flu over the weekend. Mum has it now! Hehehe!
Phew! I'll guess Shana.

You've piqued my interest there. Don't ask me though; I've been running straight towards the barrel of a couple dozen tanks these past few days. And I've managed to jack most of my targets. Maybe your dad's onto something.

Have you been there Mirelly? Not Picadilly. Trafford Centre. Well, if you have, you know in the China Town section? Theres like a mini papershop, and Katie and I stopped to have a gawp at the magazines. (There was one with a story on the front cover: 'I had Plastic Surgery to look like a Ken doll' that looked quite good.) and then these two guys came over and went, 'Well HELLO girls!' and then later we were going in the arcade and Katie just turned on her heel and ran out laughing because apparently the middle aged guys in front of us looked her up and down and went 'OOOH!' down her ear.
Perverts, perverts, perverts!

Telling a Mancunian to avoid the Trafford Centre is like telling a New Yorker to stay away from Fifth Avenue. It's the city centre (translates as the downtown part of the city).
Babe'll hafta come next cos' I'm now answering her question. Tis me, back from our afternoon meeting with SBW and Sacharissa. It was nice! We got to see Porta De Luca first hand and all the houses and characters. Sacharissa had brought her laptop as well, so we saw some of the houses she designed...beautiful! We even got to see some of the sims SBW's daughter has made and the houses she built. Oh, and SBW, you're daughter is adorable, I meant to tell you that when we were there but I forgot. She was very sweet and well behaved...good job mom!
Ummm...so I just directed a comment to you, SBW?

Yes, sorry. Forgot to check this forum!
Thank you for the nice words about my daughter. I am well aware that I got one of the good ones, I can't take all the credit for how she turned out. She's just a naturally great kid.
So, cute story: She fell asleep on her daddy's arm when they were both lounging on the couch watching Harry Potter IV, and the cat decided that looked like a nice place to sleep so she climbed on top and did the boneless cat thing, which is unusual for her now that she's gotten so old and creaky.
They just looked so cute, and my husband put up with it for quite a while before he had to rescue his arm, which had fallen asleep.
Getting to meet you and Sacharissa was fun! Next time, we can talk about Body Shop some more, if I ever get mine to work again. Stupid downloads. Of course, if one of y'all hosts then that's a moot point. For you, at any rate. :p
OK, waaaaaaaay too long. Pick a person, SBW.

Hi, folks  .
I've been missing ya'll because I've been doing OFB so hard. Then last night I drove my long-suffering husband to a clinic to have an MRI of an injured shoulder. Poor thing, if it's not one thing it's another -- a broken finger and serious poison ivy last year -- this year it's probably a torn ligament or something in his shoulder. We'll know for sure in a day or two.
Anyway, where's Michelle? When's the last time you stopped by here? Not for a couple of days, I see. Are you there?
Mirelly
03-28-2006, 05:29 AM

Yawn ... what? Oh, yeah, here I am.
I was just reading the nice things people said about my story, and thinking about making some really bad coffee now that I'm at work. My husband and I have a lunch date today, even though we're broke ... we've got no self-restraint sometimes.
Lynet, I hope your husband's shoulder feels better soon! That sounds painful.
The woman who said tickety-boo was kind of a pip pip cheerio type on a kid's movie called Kronk's New Groove, which is really silly but bearable. Hey, I lived through way too many years of Barney, so I can handle anything.
Um, let's see ... Shana? You there? I'll bet you're working too hard at your new position to check in with us slackers, but I thought I'd check anyway.

I am working hard and don't have nearly as much free time now that I have my new position. I'm able to check right now because I'm waiting for a meeting to start and don't feel like getting knee deep into the rest of my work till after that meeting! I do love my new job though.

Here I am! Sorry...I was at school, and then art class, and THEN I was watching some TV. Ugh, standardized tests suck. We had to write a persuasive, 5 paragraph essay in 45 minutes today...which wouldn't have been that bad (I think I actually did, well, decently) if we didn't have the most horrid proctor EVER. She's my regular English teacher too...but anyway, she walks around the room, looks over everyone's shoulders, and if she sees something she doesn't like, she scoffs EXTREMELY loudly and briskly walks away. Isn't that not allowed?

I have Mr Kenny for IT. I hate him. Listen to this - I didn't even do anything wrong!
I was on the internet and I clicked a link that came up on Google and shock horror - I ended up on worldSims! It was entirely by accident! I did try to click x but the computer was being dumb and wouldn't let me. SOOO I decided well I may as well catch up Porta de Luca for a min until the computer lets me leave. And then, my mouse disappeared! And then it shot across the screen! It was moving by itself! Mr Kenny had grabbed it with MasterEye, and asked me all these question and said if he ever saw me on that again at school it would be detentions galore. Whoever invented that should be shot.
Did I fail to mention the link I selected came up after I searched world sims forums on Google? :o Oh well.

You don't want my car, sugar, trust me. We had it broken into last week, had to buy a new passenger side window ... the thieves got away with the world's cheapest stereo and two CDs. Oooooh, what a haul.
Forgive me if I've mentioned this already. Short term memory ain't what it used to be.
Anyway, one of the CDs belongs to the library so now we've got to pay to replace it. Sigh.
I like my car, though. It may be old and rusty but it's paid for and it runs just fine. Buy a Honda, that's my advice. You can drive 'em into the ground. They'll rust apart before the engine fails.

Hip, hip, hooray! Babe is here.
The bloody bank woke me up this morning. It was only 5 past 12. Shouldn't they call at a decent hour? And it was only to tell me that they'd payed somebody else's bloody cheque in my account and they were going to remove it.
I was awake then. Grrr. I mean, come on. 5 past 12. It's the holidays!
