Just wandered over to see what they're doin' in the Firefox catch up stakes. The blarney tries to be convincing but that ole Microsoft Magic is still there. I read up the notes before considering giving it a download for evaluation and before I got out of the first paragraph I came across Mr. Gates' favorite word: reboot. Huh! FF installs without a reboot, true updates require the browser to be closed and reloaded but that's a no-brainer.
Then there's the "known phishing sites" thing ... how much of our PCs' time is gonna be involved in being spoonfed guff ...? I just bet that every time the list of known sites is revised, you have to take your computer apart, hit every component with a Spongebob Squarepants toy three times while a sliver-lined cloud passes over a new moon before rebooting your PC.
Thanks, Bill. But no thanks.
