View Full Version : Cannot Paint Walls/Floors/ anything in buildmode.

Build mode just doesn't work. When I click a wallpaper, nothing shows up, same for floors and things like that. The Sims 2 never used to do this, but I had recently uninsatalled it and then reinstalled it because I was in teh mood to play the game again, and I downloaded a No CD crack in spite of my laziness. Could the No CD Crack have damaged this portion of the game?

Well ... yes. Build mode is disabled by any No CD crack (including virtual drive/drive image utilities such as Alcohol/Daemon etc.). You will need reinstall the game (remove all traces of the NO CD crack first).

Your saved games are in the folder calle The Sims 2 in:

My Documents\EA Games\

Just move the folder over to your desktop while you uninstall and reinstall ... you should then be able to drag your folder back to where it came from - Windows will ask you to agree it overwriting files with the same name ... just click the Yes To All button.
