Family Fun Pack: Fixed or not?

So, guess what I got for Mother's Day. Yup, the pack I said you couldn't pay me to buy. But before I return it to the store for a refund, I just thought I'd ask: there was a patch right? Did it fix everything?

Or are there still problems?

I'm still wary after the peein' Claus disaster with the Holiday pack but I thought I'd ask.

Aw bless! There is a patch but as I don't have it and wouldn't want it as a gift I can't advise. I did notice that even SimPE regards it as an EP. I'me betting we won't see Pets, this year ... methinks someone slapped someone's wrist and said "let's geddit righterer than the last mess or everyone get flaming bags of poo instead of the usual complimentary Thanksgiving turkey".

I'd get a refund unless you really feel that the serious lack of hats in the game is hampering the developments in PDL ... :rolleyes:

I was reading on another site that there were still some serious issues with dressers and changing clothes and the like even AFTER installing the patch. I don't have it, don't really want it.

Yeah, I think I'm going to return it. Trying to do it in as nice a way possible since Witch Baby gave it to me. I think she understands.

I've been downloading furniture from sites instead. Trying to be picky but there is some nice stuff out there. Much better than FFP and free.

After hearing about the bugs and stuff like that, I decided to not buy it, I can't be bolthered trying if the game just golnna get screwed, aleast Hoilday Pack was worth it, aleast to me that is..

Ruined my game too, Metal. I had peein' Claus stuck in the bathroom in two different houses, and my aspiration slots went kablooey. NPCs turned players that graduated from college suddenly had four slots again and some of them were always blue. Don't know if it was the Holiday pack or a downloaded house. All I know is, once I removed the Holiday pack the problem went away.

But I had to start from a saved game from several weeks previous.

Grrrrr.

At least now I know to back up my game at least twice a week.
