What is the purpose of being able to go to a community lot and buy clothes for toddler if you can't even make them change their clothes:confused: ?? Maybe I just dont know how to change a toddler's clothes. Has anyone on here experienced the same thing or does anyone know how to change a toddler's clothes??

You need the Changing Table (located in the same place as you get the crib). Then, just have select an adult, click on the changing table, and then the option comes up to "Change {toddler} into everday," or something like that...
PS - make sure you have a regular wardrobe in your house before buying any clothes...

the important thing to remember is don't over buy for your baby or toddler, they don't stay small for long.

And hand-me-downs work in a sim household as well as they work in real life. :)

Yup. If my sim's out shopping I always buy a toddler outfit I like for each gender if there's a baby on the way and the family has money to burn. That way if the fuzzy animal costumes rear their ugly heads I can switch 'em right away.
I may download the clothing tool to help with this.
I mean, cute fuzzy bears and kitties were cute ONCE. The dumb little tuxedo was cute ONCE. Every single time gets a bit old.
Especially when I've got all these adorable outfits from Simsquirts sitting in my sim store. :D

Yes - The Clothing Tool has been a GODSEND! Downloaded it over the weekend, and makes life SO much easier! (Wasn't looking farward to having the Crumplebottoms take the whole passel of kids from the Dunvegan Children's home in to town on a shopping spree...It would have made them even crabbier than they already are!)

Do you perchance just have the TS2 base game without any EPs?
When TS2 first came out, there wasn't a way to change the toddlers clothes, even with the changing table (which could only be used to change diapers, and alternate between everyday and sleepwear). It was a glitch in the game which they fixed with the TS2 basegame update/patch. After that (after the patch and/or the EPs, that is), the changing table could be used to change the toddler's clothes (everyday and sleepwear, so that they could have different outfits) as well as switching between everyday and sleepwear, as well as changing nappies.

Furthermore the Open For Business expansion adds the ability to change a toddler's appearance so you can change their hideous hairstyles

Though the clothing tool lets you do that too, regardless of which EPs you have.
