This has even stumped the long distance tech support line funded by EA Games...
Sims 2, no expansions. After doing a SYSTEM RESTORE and reinstalling Sims 2, I get "The program has crashed. The program will now terminate." while trying to enter any neighborhood. (no custom mods or anything installed).
Sims 2, University and/or Nightlife. After installing my expansion packs, I can get into a neighborhood and play normally, with the very annoying exception of not being able to alter my sims faces. All my sims of the same gender have the exact same model, face wise.. same nose, ears, eyes, chin.... everything is the same. I can change colors of skin and eyes and all, but adjusting the slider bars to change the face structure doesn't change its looks in the slightest.
I can only assume that these two problems are somehow related to a single registry file that didn't get deleted or something. Anyone know what's up?
I've tried everything listed on the EA games trouble shooting website (and everthing EA Games told me to do over the phone... which is the exact same stuff, only with long distance charges).
ANYWAY, here's my diag... or part of it... is this enough information to help you help me?
