leveling walls

how do i attach garage walls with the rest of the house? the garage walls have no foundation but the house itself does. how do i attach them? like this picture form modthesims2 here, you can see the car is in the garage and attached to the house with no space in between. how do i do that? it keeps saying something about terrain leveling. do i have to level the terrain? thanks!http://thumbs.modthesims2.com:443/images20/MTS2_347048_nengi65_PC_groundfloor.jpg

Here's a link to a MikeInside tutorial. It's called Split levels, but it's really the same thing as attaching a house and garage.

By the way, where is that picture from? That house looks beautiful, and from what I can see, there's not much custom content--only recolors. Maybe that glass-looking thing in the top-left is custom, as well as the foliage at the bottom.
