I recently installed Sims University. I successfully installed it, but now when I visit a lot, the sims won't do anything I tell them to, or anything else. The game isn't frozen, I can see the mouse and click on things, give the sims commands, by and build stuff, but for some reason the sims will not move or do anything at all.
And the gameclock will NOT move no matter what speed I put it on. Could someone tell me what to do to fix this, or what it might be, PLEASE? My game is at a stand still because of this stupid thing. PLEASE someone help me. As soon as humanly possible.

Very weird.
Do you have the game on pause? Silly question, I know, but just in case ...
If you aren't paused, you might want to post your specs, you know, processor speed, video card, available RAM. Maybe your machine isn't up to it?
And check the game settings in case you've got free will turned off. But they should still listen to your commands.
Does it happen on every lot? Did you get the patches for University from the official site?
Anyone else got any ideas? I'm hardly a troubleshooting guru, but I thought I'd try to help.
Good luck.

Nope. Definitely not paused. And I did download the patch. This happens at every lot, not just the ones at the universities.
I don't know my computer stats, but if my computer wasn't up to it, why would I be able to do everything else? And it's not like it's super slow, either. It functions at a decent speed, it's just the sims won't do anything.

Hmmmm ... I had this happen at one lot. I fixed it using Pescado's lot debugger.
Back up your game first, just in case something goes wrong.
Then go to MATY (More Awesome Than You) and download the lot debugger. Put it in your game.
Go to a lot and buy it. It looks like a yellow box.
Click on it. A menu appears.
Choose Force Errors. There's one for just that lot, called In World. You might want to try it first. If it works you can throw caution to the wind and try the other one, forget what it's called. But I think it's for the entire neighborhood.
You'll get a warning asking if you're sure. You backed up your game, right? So, you're sure.
I had sims that just stood around too, all free will gone. This fixed them. They listened to my commands, however. Your glitch sounds more serious.
If that doesn't work, you could try boolprop testingcheats enabled true and see what kind of message you get. Take a screen print of it and post it at MATY. They're pretty helpful over there.
DO NOT run boolprop and the lot debugger at the same time. Turn boolprop off first or you could really hose your game.
Do you have downloads? You might want to try moving the folder to another part of your machine and then run the game. If a DL is causing the error that should fix it.
Again, save first. I lost a sim's custom eye color once and didn't get it back because I moved my DL folder.

Where on that site is the lot debugger?

Never mind, found it. Let's see if any of this works.
