I played StarCraft for sometime in the early 2000 (wow has it honestly been that long?) before plunging all over the place with The Sims.

StarCraft 2 Beta came out about two weeks ago and I've been playing it on and off. Boy, is it fun, but at the same time, boy is it frustrating. (Yes to all you Simmers out there, I had to stop playing The Sims 3 for a bit while I explore StarCraft 2.

StarCraft 2, like it's predecessor is a Real Time Strategy Game and follows the races of the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg.


Playing as Protoss, dang, boy and I having fun yet having my butt kicked a ton. Yes you Zergs, you've been kicking my butt a lot with your annoying roaches and lil tanc critters in which Protoss players don't seem to have any defense against them at all.

Will I be going back to The Sims 3? Yup. Will i be playing StarCraft 2 now too? I'm thankful for Flameback777 and JohnEZ for stepping up during my absence in making sure things simply don't break and keeping those awful spammers in line.

While I wasn't on the front side making rounds, I was pretty much in a state of panic in the back of the site. We had huge legal hurdles thrown out of no where when we were trying to purchase a web application. We had huge bug and performance barriers that completely stalled progress at times. During our testing phases, we had consistent complications with the web application causing the entire system to crash at times, and forcing us to restart our entire testing processes. Last but not least, reorganizing everything to center around this site.

But here we are. We've been at it pretty much close to 24 hours. MileyCyrus stepped up big time to help me throughout the day to organize all the building blocks of our content. Frankly we're exhausted so we're calling it a day. But I figured why not let everyone explore and adapt to the new site. It's my Christmas gift to everyone :)

As for other systems we use, the entire gallery and links database is offline, as well as our primary downloads management system. We haven't received the ports yet from our vendor but the orders have been placed and we're waiting for them to come back.

We're still far from done as we're in the process of executing our master plan. Thus far, things are going according to plan, but not on schedule. We're going to be reshuffling things on the forums sometime today or this week, pending the proper code hacks are available.

Anyways, I'm exhausted.

Amazing in the sense of how this past two weeks seems to have just glazed over a bit. I'd say it was an interesting two weeks to say the least. Lots of quality time with each of our developers here working on a special project.

Our entire developer team and myself spent the last two weeks putting together technical details for a concert we were helping out with. Putting together all the technical pieces and requirements was simply a lot of fun, and putting all the pieces together last Saturday.

The results were quite amazing I must say. Plus without the help of bleriotusa saving our butts again by lending us his Mac and getting a lot of the setup going...(I really need to get one for our use at these concerts), waynelinazn manning the HD camcorders, WhenInfinityEnds manning the computers, Hayclian coordinating the logistics between the musicians and our team, and djizzle running some of the small errands for us, all I can say is without the team, the night wouldn't have been a success.

With a major event behind us, we're now looking forward towards our next major event in November where we'll be putting on an even larger concert. We'll be working with two bands instead of one, and a theatre team..wow. My mind is whirling at the thought of how we're going to pull this one off :D.

Plus we're definitely looking forward to some of the changes we're already bringing to the site. Carefully look around a bit...we've made lots of major changes here and there in the last few hours :D

I've ditched php, its still too complicated for me, so i'll stich with HTML & CSS.

I've also ditched glossy images. Most of my images will be bolder with a few glossy one snuck in.

Im extremly happy with the custom content thats going to be added soon! Also you'll be able to choose what format you'd like to download content in. You can choose between .Zip and .Rar.

This is because .Rar downloads much faster and doesn't take up as much space BUT you need software to extract the file thats inside it whereas anyone with Windows XP or newer can extract a .Zip file as Windows XP + come with zip extraction software pre-installed.

Anyway, Im not giving away much at the moment but I'll let you in on some of the new stuff;

- Woohoo Video Player!
The woohoo video player is a media player created by Woohoo Simz 3. Its made so that The site no longer has to use Youtube's player to play videos, now we have a player that fits in with the sites colour scheme. Also any videos that you upload from your computer onto your Woohoo! Profile on our social network site, will be played on a Woohoo Player.

- Staff Profile Pages
Each member now has a page dedicated to themselves. Thats all Im telling you for now as its still being developed and Im not 100% sure what's going to be added to those pages.

I've decided that Im going to use this blog to keep you all updated with what Im getting up to.

So first things first. I am tonight starting work on a new theme and layout for WoohooSimz3.
I want to use a PHP Page Engine in this layout so that whenever I feel like adding a link to the drop down naviagtion bar, I'll only have to edit one page, instead of having to edit every page on the site because as you can probably guess, its very time consuming and ain't much fun either.

Im completely new to PHP so Im going to have to do a bit of learning. The last time I attemped to do this with the help of Sean "scferg" from TheSimsNews. It didn't work. This time im giving it another go.

If anyone here could help me do the following above that would be great!!! And I would really appreciate it ;)
