See the official Sims website, Kezzy. The Runs With Scissors was last year's April 1st, MaxoidMonkey offerring. Leave them laying around and a sim is apt to pick them up and run around with them ... with terrible consequences. Great for fulfilling a want to be saved from death or defeating Grimmy ... speaking of which, Byron was out gardening in a storm last night when young Jensen arrived home from school. What a bit of luck! I looked for Byron's icon to check on his gardening progress and it wasn't there  ... just got li'l Jensen down to the end of the garden in time to beg Grimmy to leave Lightning-Struck Byron behind. I'm lovin' Seasons :D

We think along the same lines here :devious:

I used to do that a lot too but now my way of killing off sims is with a fire! Much more entertaining to watch and it goes quickly as well.

One thing that I found pretty annoying is if you kill your sim in the pool and then keep their gravestone, their ghost leaves puddles all over your garden! Sure, the puddles aren't that bad, but it's all the weeds that pop up afterwards.

Grrr... I'd like to put those weeds in the fire as well and make them perish along with my next victim.:devious: Heeheehee..

The subject of incestuous relations is rather distasteful for a family oriented forum. :(

What you want to do can be done if you have the University expansion pack. It adds the option to combine families, at the neighborhood screen level. You can move a sim out of a house and then into another occupied house (subject to the maximum of 8 per household limit). The various member retain their last names and do not gain family relationships with those they move in with.

(NOTE: I can't tell from my own game, but it might be that one or more of the later expansion packs also add the same option. Perhaps someone else without Uni can confirm this?)

What you said is right Mirelly. Get Uni and you can have any stranger move into the family and they don't get related to the family or anything.

But can't you just make a family and then not make them related to each other, if you don't have Uni? Sure, they will have the same second names as everybody else, but they won't be part of the family tree and they can date others (by others I mean other people in the house) - if I'm not misstaken.

    :classic:

    FYI re: this topic

    Just to share:

I created a teen couple (well, 'unrelated' in the CAS screen since you can't make a teen "couple") and one adult parent of one of the teens, since as we know, you can't save just two teens in a CAS family. So I created the parent with the intention of moving the parent out after to their own place. I discovered a couple things:

    1) It won't let you save two teens and one adult unless BOTH teens are related to the adult. Which would make them siblings. Which would be a bad thing for what I was trying to do.

    2) So I created two adults (one parent for each teen) and saved. I moved them into a house and then discovered that the "find own place" isnt' an option for the adults. Apparently they have to stay home and parent, or something. :)

So, I just deleted both adult sims while on the house lot. I felt a little bad deleting them, but at least it wasn't death by fire or flies or whatever.

Did you just do moveobjects on and then delete them??? If you did and you saved the game your adults sims aren't actually gone. When you re-enter into that lot your adult sims will be standing next to the mailbox. Only way to get rid of them is to kill them off.

Though you can move the teens out into their own place, can't you? If I remember correctly, they won't turn into adults if you move them out but I'm not sure if you actually can move teens out?

That's weird that they couldn't move out. I had the parents move out on my triplets in my old town of Belleville, and that worked just fine.

I think the game is inconsistent in that way. You could try having someone on another lot invite the adults to move in, sans kids, and see if that works.

But yeah, if that doesn't work death is the only real way to get rid of them.

Oh, yeah I guess I did do it that way. I didn't realize they'd come back lol. Sucks, I guess I do have to kill them. Pity. Just trying to save my teens some horrible scarring memories....

    ;)

    **Edit**

Speaking of horrible scarring memories, nothing else was working so I was forced to kill their parents by flies. And I thought I'd share the pain I was caused. A moment of silence....

Hey, Grim looks like he's sad about the sim dying as well. But I'm pretty sure he's just getting out his phone to call the death ward or something. :knockout: Great picture!
