    Should I?

Before I start working on another story for the library I'd like to know if you would like me to carry on my first story about the Van de Kemp orphans (see story here) or shall I start a new one? I'd be more than happy to start a new story but I don't mind carrying on the Unfortunate Lives of the Van de Kemps' either. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure how many chapters of the Van de Kemps there will be (if there will be any more at all) but there won't be very many. So don't get yourself excited - if this is anything to get excited about.

NOTE: There won't be any new stories in the library before the Short Story Contest is over and possibly the other story contest too (still haven't decided if I want to enter that one or not ).

I would like to see what happens to the Van de Kemp orphans. But I can be patient and wait until after the contests are over.

    Did I answer your question?

If you have another story in mind for the second contest, I think you should try to do it. I'd be happy to read it. :D

OK, thanks guys. I've made up my mind now: I'm not going to write more stories about the orphans for the time being. I might, however, write a story for that book competition :)eek:) and that way, you'll be getting a new story with chapters and everything.

    Wish me luck!

By the way, Lynet, are you going to go for the book competition as well as the short story?

It's not looking that way at the moment. Short story, yes. Book, no. I could change my mind.

Unfortunately for my sims, June, July and August are going to be very busy in Real Life. There is a possibility, not certain at this point, that I may change jobs.

Also, I've decided to work on getting a book that I wrote 7 years ago published, which means editing the thing, and writing letters and a synopsis. I'd much rather publish stuff in Worldsims, but Pharaoh Farrow has been sitting in his 3-ring binder for too long. It's time to finish the job. Writing for you guys has inspired me to do that.

Look at this! It's after 4 am. I got up and came here because I couldn't sleep, but I think I should go back to bed again.

Oh that's so cool, Lynet! I think you should most definitely GO FOR IT! Fingers crossed that your book will get published!! It can take a long time for books to get published but never give up, OK? I'm so excited for you now!

I actually sent a couple of my stories to a few publishers a few years ago and they said that they really liked my stories, but since I was only 12 or something at the time they couldn't publish my work. They said they'd be happy to have a look at my stories later when I'm 18 though.

But the question is if I still want to get my work published when I'm 18. There's still a long way to go 'til I have to make that choise, though - thank God! I've got too many other things on my mind at the mo.

well this is certainly the place to get plenty of practice at writing... It's great that you're so interested in learning to communicate now. The hardest thing is to know what it is we want to say. So many times I find I don't know what I think about something until I write it down... or start talking.

If I may ask... "Van de Kemp"
