Bad, bad nanny I know bad nanny threads have been done before and I have had my chuckles at other people's misfortunes with nannies but my run up till last night had been pretty smooth. The worst that had happened to me was two nannies turning up - not at once - one turns up after the other leaves and when there is no need for her. It's usually that forgetful one but she doesn't forget to charge! But last night in my game the horrid nanny tried to take my baby with her when she left. She was almost at her blue van but luckily I was able to take control of her and make her put the baby back (thanks to Merola's mirror). I am curious though as to what would have happened if I had let her go and if she would have brought the baby back the next day. I have had a Sim take her baby to work before and it always comes back at the end of the day with the mother but I don't know if I would trust in the good nature of the nanny. Has anyone had this happen and did the baby come back? Actually the baby transitioned into a toddler the very next day and he is rather ugly. Maybe I should have let the nanny have him
I would like to know the answer to this too. You could always quit without saving of course but then you loose all that game play. Ruth
Actually, some of the prettiest sims I had so far were ugly as toddlers and children. The prettiest kids are not ugly as they grow up, but many times they are, well, kind of indifferent. Of course, I also had a few ugly toddlers that remained ugly for the rest of their lives... The worst genetic combination I had was with OFB: I married Florence Delarosa (what's her name in the English version? She's the girl that has the flowers' shop) with Chris-something-with-dark-red-t-shirt-that-is-waiting-to-be-placed-somewhere in the beginning of that game (can't remember his surname because they adopted hers). Well, his head resembles a carrot. Or a lamp. She has a weird nose. Their children were soooo ugly. Apart from one girl, that grew up to be beautiful (extraordinarily beautiful in those circumstances), only in the 3th or 4th generation from there those sims started to look nice.
I love your description of a head like a carrot. I think I know people in real life who look like that. But, you were right. My ugly toddler turned out quite gorgeous. The nanny was obviously onto something. He is now a teen and will soon set hearts on fire.
