Consumerism - Are we addicted to spending?

    I'm wondering if today people are addicted to materialistic things. We see the iPods, the iPads, the MacBooks, the PCs, Flat Screen TVs.... and other gizmos and gadgets and it makes me wonder... are we addicted to spending?

    I don't have a credit card, the most I have is a debit card. :p
    And if I did, no way would I get an American Express! They always have huge surcharges!

    I saw those 580 GTX in store. AUD$699! I just bought my 460 GTX so no more graphic cards for a while.

    I was making fun of Josh. 10% wouldn't help too much. The shipping would probably bring the price higher than here, and now that the Aussie is around parity cheaper prices are starting to filter through.

    Dang I need a new monitor.
    The one I had hooked up to my Windows 7 Folding rig died so I had to shut it down.
    I'm loosing a lot of points from that one.

    I think I'm getting a better Mac computer since I've had this one for 3 years and it's starting to be too slow for the things that I do. We'll see by the end of December.

    wow.. 3 years old and a mac is considered old? WOW..

    50.00 is more than sufficient.. this way I can run up an overdraft bill :p
