Open For Business - Dream Business Okay, Open For Business is LESS than a month away...so don't forget to pre-order Anyhow...Let's get a discussion going here on what would be your dream business if you got Open For Business. Toy Shop? Bakery? Shopping Mall?
Bookshop first. Sorry, big book geek here. Well, I don't think I'm a book geek, but my man does. So, bookshop.
Bookshop is a great idea! I have a sim whom I would like to own an art gallery. And I'd like to have a nice old-fashioned mom & pop grocery store, with a bakery! Edited to add: Plus I can't wait to have a salon and boutique so I can makeover all those horrid townies.
I was thinking to start off with maybe a bakery/coffee shop. Sorta like a Tim Horton's or Starbuck but with more of a bakery. May also add a small stage in one corner for bands to play for the patrons. Then maybe a toy shop. Ruthie
I would like a big department store with a resturaunt and coffee shop. That's the one Ed Dawson will open. And, Peggy Sue Simpson is already painting so she can open her art gallery. And, Cara Yokel is saving up floral arrangements so that she can start a flower shop. Is it sad that I already have storylines planned out for my sims? :(
I'm with Mango on the Salon and Boutique...time to make over some of those terribly dressed sims! I'm also looking forward to making a toy shop for the kids.
Me too on the salon! Goopy is just begging to be remade as a hippy and Brandon needs to either get a hairstyle that goes with his kilt or start wearing pants. His hair's just too tame for the rest of him. A bakery, because my hubby's a baker, and a NIGHT CLUB! Yes! My vampires are bored to death. Hah. Didn't mean to make a joke. I'm going to go nuts with this, I can tell. Alec Nova wants his own restaurant, and I'm sure I'll have a bookshop and art gallery as well. I've got some very talented sims ... ooh. Porter Kane would be great as the owner of a gym. He's already made Marisa Bendett cry. (He tried being a personal trainer, LOL ... he's kinda mean.) I think Porta de Luca is suddenly going to be chock full of entrepeneurs.
I cant wait for it!I will probaly start off with something small like a bakery to get used to sales then go for a toy shop. The new toys look excellent! Owning a nightclub will come soon and a hairdressing shop. This expansion will be excellent
I have lots of ideas, though I don't think I will utilize them all at once since it will probably be a pain to have every sim own a business. Besides that would make even more playable characters and I can only deal with so much. I already have sims in mind for the business ventures. Some of my ideas... - Lots of specialty stores (car dealership, electronics, furniture, clothing, children toys/clothes, etc.) - A 0.99-cent store that sells a little bit of everything (only because they have tons of these in NYC so it would be interesting to see how well a business would do when everything is 0.99 cents, LOL) - Hair salon - owned by a very sassy & stylish pleasure sim. She is in college now, but I wish there was some way to keep that walk when she ages to adult, it goes with her character so well! This will be an extension of her home. Most hairstylist start off that way anyway (at least where I'm from. She is ghetto-fab!) - Nightspot (charge); although I don't quite know how this will work yet. I will charge maybe a $1 per hour since you can't charge a flat rate, however, I don't know if they will be walking around with shopping bags and stuff...can't wait for Jeff's hackpicture to control clothing. That will make this more fun. - Family bakery. They will start off with a small bakery then expand to family restaurant(s) that is if they do well with the bakery. - Bookstore - a knowledge sim who has reached the top of his career. Right know he is writing novels so I figure he could sell them at a store as well. - Art Gallery - a romance sim who is in college studying art. He loves to paint! I will have a "hall of loves" where he has a portrait of each lady that he is "in love with" (those LTW, LOL) - I was thinking about making a King Pin/Mob Boss type of sim who owns all the hotspots/nightclubs downtown. (This would be perfect for "Mr. Big"). However I think that would be too much work for him (ME) to run all of those lots. - Floral shop/Little shop of horrors - all kinds of plants, however only very special clientele who have the $$$ will be escorted to the back room where the very specially grown plants are. (owner is not responsible for customers that roam back there unattended) ("cowplant"...:winks: ) I wish there was a way to charge sims for entering a lot that could be controlled on a neighborhood level without having a playable sim actually own it. Sort of making the neighborhoods more realistic. Like a charge when they go to that museum lot (in NL).
I want my sims to have the option to physically(sorta) go to the store and buy a tv or nice looking chair or a chuck E. Cheese type place where they can buy (fruit punch) and pizza for like a dollar a slice or something. Make a Best Buy. I don't want places for my sims to run, i just want more options for downtown or Community lots to make it feel more life-like. Maybe they could buy their stuff online and have the delivery company that delivers food or some other company deliver stuff...like a tv or close or something. Is it possible to have a playable sim be one of the delivery people or maids or repairmen or butler or all those npc characters? What about someone working for a small business in a cubicle in a tall building? It would be run just like it would if you were at your sims home except you'd be getting paid. How about if Maxis actually made it so there's months and years so you can celebrate more than just 5 birthdays? if there were sim years, would the careers sims get start paying salaries instead of the paycheck they get after every day they go to work? Wow, i went way off topic. I want too much for this game. Sorry about that. For the next expansion, i just want to be able to build a mall...with an arcade you spend a fortune at just to win thousands of tickets so you can get a whistle. Ok, i'm done now.
okay...maybe a mall like having a salon store a bookshop and i want to be able to buy jewlery i mean wouldnt that be cool and a home theatre you could charge people for sitting on a couch and watching tv
Quoting something i read a grave store ill make a family of 8 kill seven than add 7 than kill that seven then have my fave sim put it into iventory then sell them for 500 simoleans and include flowers.
For me, I'd start with a toy store, then maybe a bakery. It doesn't really matter to me, as long as I hope my pc won't crash
