    NOO!! my 2 kids!!!

Apparently, I'm pretty new to Sims 2. Got my sim's first kid(girl) to 1days before teenager, and a newborn baby boy. I guess I'm still not so used to handling so many sims at once, the daughter was failing at school and both parents are in bad shape cos I just moved them in a bigger house without any money... lol
Found out about the cheats too late! sighs... social worker came by and took them away... *cries* so I guess there's no way to get them back eh?
Anyway, just got her pregnant again... hehe and this time i'll make sure she quits her job!!! grrrrrrrrrrr

Thats a shame,it happens to all of us so dont worry about it that much.Trust me,very soon you will be able to handle that amount of sims easily.

I've read somewhere around here about having another family adopt kids and the kids who turn up are the ones taken away from the other family by the social worker. I'd do a search of the threads for you but I'm hardly awake. :hypnotized:

Lynet is correct but the kids arrive with no memories of their former lives ... they keep whatever skills they have. They also arrive with a full span of days in wahtever age they are in so the daughter who was 1 day from teen will be back to the full quota of child days ... however many that is

Yes, as I've said before, I think Sims oughta be part of life planning classes in highschool.

I think it teaches some valuable lessons, like never have more kids than you can handle.

Take out the Sims portion and replace it with Today's Kids, and I most certainly agree there.

LOL Josh but I'm pretty sure that SBW meant The Sims ought to be used as a tool to teach Todays Kids life lessons in school ... ROFL ... what are you like, Josh?

The answer to that is, of course, Josh is great! smart, cute, young but not too young....

but as to the teaching tool... you need to add credit cards, payday loans, and no motherlode or kaching.

Well... as some of you might know, my sim now has another kid "Julian" after what happened to her previous 2kids. And just so happen today, Julian came home from school with a friend... his sister!!!! OMG!!! I almost freaked when i saw the girl and thought she looked familiar!! lol
Too bad I can't get her to move in... or can I?

not until she's older, I think. But she won't have any previous family memories because the social worker brainwashes them so they don't cause trouble.

I suppose that means they could fall in love and get married. Eeewww

No you can't, they are still recognised as family. At least, the mum of one of my sims taken away was able to kiss...family kiss when he got off the bus with her later kids

How did you get seven? Did you create the family that way?

Way back in the original Sims(1) game I did something like that. I created a single mom with a whole bunch of kids. Yikes, what a nightmare. And since in that game kids never grew up, it was a nightmare without end. ;)

I used a cheat to get them but i got a real surprise when all of them started crying while my sim was in bed-she went loopy!

    Kristalrose Wakey-Wakey!

When I first got the game, I created a single mom with 4 kids: 1 teenager, 1 child, and a set of twin toddlers. The toddlers were crazy bored (didn't have enough $$ for toys), Mom was a lazy bum, and the children didn't do their homework. The teenager came home from school every day crying because of his grades, but I couldn't keep him or his sister having enough "fun" so that they would want to do their homework and build skills. It wasn't too long before the social worker showed up on the doorstep. It broke my heart! LOL

I have had two families have their kids taken away. The first was because the parents didn't make their son go to school. They had a teenaged daughter, too, but only the son was taken.

The couple that adopted him then had all their younger children taken away due to the infamous nanny glitch and he ended up adopting his own adopted siblings, except for the one that was already a teenager.

He was a romance sim, living with his two moms, and suddenly he was a dad three times over. And then he had a baby with one of his girlfriends, and that daughter eventually came to live with him too. He was a professional party guest who made amazing amounts of money (I kept answering wild cards right for a change), and he didn't mind being a dad if he didn't actually have to get married.

He ended up being one of my favorite sims. It was kind of weird how that all turned out.

I managed to have a couple raise 10 kids once, but by the time the youngest was a toddler the mom had had it and nothing I could do would make her go into the gold, so she transitioned to elder. So then I had to let her hubby do so as well. Too weird otherwise, since he was originally older than her!

I never got around to the next generation because a) I was too busy raising that one and b) I had to get a new computer and lost everyone.

But that was my biggest family to date.

Nowadays, with all the dating and the scholarships I want them to have, the four Nova kids were plenty. (Xanthe was easier, she was basically an only child.)

Also, I hate being responsible for that many sims. I have way too many in my game right now as it is.

Speaking of too many sims, the DeFoy and Pederson families in my game, which are related by Ian DeFoy and Melanie Pederson being twins, just had a baby boom. Ian, Melanie and their spouses have transitioned to elders, but their children have all recently been married and are starting their families.

Ian had three children, Marlaina, Rory and Tevin.
    1. Marlaina had twin toddler boys (must be in the genes)
    2. Rory has one daughter (child) and is stopping there.
    3. Tevin has two boys (one toddler, one infant).
Melanie Pederson also had three children, Caitlynn, and twins Keegan and Norah.
    1. Caitlynn also just had twins, still infants, one of each gender, (seriously, twins in the genes!)
    2. Keegan has one toddler daughter.
    3. Norah and her partner Annabelle have one son and a toddler daughter.
So within just that family tree I have 10 grandchildren, and only two of them are child status...I have my hands full... I also have a couple other families in the neighborhood with children and toddlers...yikes! This is going to be crazy once they all go to college.
