Can't open bodyshop Every time i try to open the sims 2 bodyshop, it says Direct3d error and it must terminate the application. any tips on how to get it up and working?
Hmmm ... sounds like a driver problem, which someone smarter than me will have to help you with. The only suggestion I have is maybe your hard drive is too full or too small or you don't have enough RAM. Bodyshop is a space hog.
Which games do you have? Try launching it with the most recent installation. For example if your latest installation was Nightlife then open My Computer and click through to: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\CSBin\ and you will find the launcher icon for TS2BodyShop If that works then to find it again more easily go back to it and right click and choose send to desktop ... you will be asked if you want a shortcut - say yes and you'll have a shiny new way to start Body Shop
yeah i dont have any expans, thats how ive been trying to open it, I have 142 GB left in HD space, and 1 Gig of ram for it to use so yea
Uh, OK. Did you check your drivers as SurprisedBy Witches suggested? see this thread for how to do it
Dang-nab-it! I hate it when this happens My advice has to be to perform a full reinstall. Please PM me (click my name and choose Send Personal Message ... then watch out for the private reply) and I will give you a step by step set of instructions to back up your saved games, utterly uninstall the game and then reinstall it. Even so there is no guarantee that'll work either ... but on the plus side, a clean reinstall -- although a pain to do -- is nice thing to have ...
