I already have this game with its original coderegistered through EAGames but I cant play again until I obtain a code enabeling me to continue the re-installation process. suitemichelle Gramma's here!

    What you are asking is illegal. Since you already registered the game you need to contact the folks at the Sims web site and ask them how to recover your lost #. They are very willing to help. It also helps to keep your games and books in a safe place because computers being what they are, are prone to major glitches.

    And we are still are nice people, aren't we?

    The most we can do is refer you to EA Support. We won't be providing you with serial numbers.

    If you have lost the handbook and serial number and have not actually uninstalled the game (or reinstalled Windows) then the registry entry should still exist. If so open your windows registry by clicking on Start then Run and type in regedit and click OK

    WARNING!! ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR SYSTEM REGISTRY!!

    Click thru the registry folder openers [+] until you reach:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
    + SOFTWARE\
    ++ Electronic Arts\
    +++ EA Games\
    ++++ The Sims 2 Nightlife\
    +++++ ergc

    Note that the Software folder also contains a folder name EA Games ... ignore that and open Electronic Arts and then the EA Games that is inside of it.

    When you reach the ergc folder look in the right hand panel and your registration code number will be shown under the heading "Data"

    Course ... if you also lost your resigistry then it'll be the more tedious and expensive method as detailed by Josh :rolleyes:
