Fortune Cookies! I was eating lunch the other day and sitting near me was this young couple on a date. She was really cute, and seemed nice, but she was trying waaaay too hard. Everything he said was funny, apparently, and I just wanted to say, calm down, sweetheart, you're cuter than he is, he likes you already. Just chill. Then I opened my fortune cookie. I think I got hers by mistake! It said, "Everyone is interested in people who are interested in them." I'm a little afraid of that fortune cookie. It knows too much. So, what's the funniest/best fortune you've ever gotten from a cookie?
Oh, my best was one day Brandon and I went to "Fortune House" by our apartment. He was joking around about how I couldn't make it without him. I told him he would never be able to leave me. My fortune cookie proved it by saying, "You're lover will never leave you." Shut him up quick!
LOL, Shana. That's too funny. Here are some other winners I've gotten: Laugh and the world laughs with you. Snore and you sleep alone. (I laughed out loud in the restaurant and got some funny looks. Apparently the cookie lied.) There will always be more fish in the sea. None as cute, or as rich, but fish nonetheless. (I LOVE that one.) and .. Life is too short to be little. (I try to live by that one, actually ... )
You know, the fortunes on them are rarely actual fortunes. They're just wise sayings and such. Except for Shana's "Your lover will never leave you."
Why, does he belong to the church of the latter day fortune cookies? Or maybe he's a cookie Soprano. Hee hee ...
He's Asian...I think. Are you? *scratches head* Maybe I'm mixing him up with someone else. But my parents think the fortune cookies are just a gimmick (even though you could probably buy 50 with like $5 or something).
No, I'm not Asian ... I'm a white chick of Anglo-Slavic descent. Kupo is Asian, I think. Has anyone heard from her? Do fortune cookies even exist in Asia? I thought they were indeed a gimmick to generate business. Not that I need any inducement. I love Asian cooking. Can't stand opinion cookies, though. They taste like cardboard. I like the fortunes, though! There I go, mocking the cookies again.
I was talking about Josh. Then again, I may've mixed him up with an admin from some other forum. Yes, where is Kupo? It seems she's disappeared. Maybe it has something to do with her parents.
Well I guess I watch too much tv.... first thing of all...that quote came from Jackie Chan adventures from Uncle..
Oh, I used to watch that! ...Yes, I do believe you watch too much TV. I loved Toru (if that's how you spell it). Jade was a bit too peppy for me. I got the feeling that the producers wanted her to look annoying, but lovable, but I didn't like her much at all. Jackie himself was too "to the rescue". ...I guess I'm a bit picky.
I don't like fortune cookies. They taste funny. I like horoscopes though - they don't taste like anything. Unless I'm eating whilst reading...
