    Open for Biz Problems

SInce installing it has been 1 prob right after another.

    1. When I loaded my family the music started skipping and it never loaded. Repeated, so I uninstalled EVERYTHING, all downlaods and Sims games. HOURS AND HOURS of hard work. Now that I have reinstalled all of the Sims 2 games it still has trouble loading. It takes forever, the music skips. It scares me to think that I paid all of this money and the game might not even work.

Please keep in mind that I have a very nice up to date computer.

I have read online that other people are having worse problems than mine.

Is there a patch I need?

Also-I heard that there is a cheat to have twins. Does anyone know what it is? :(

You say you have a nice up to date computer? What do you consider nice and up to date.

The first thing anyone will ask before offering a suggestion is what are the specs for your computer?

I don't know what that re-nu thing is. I did use that bool prop cheat a lot.

As for my comp, what I call nice and up to date you may laugh at. 160GB, 512 MB, 3200+ AMD Athalon, we upgraded the video card to an ATI Radeon 9550. Do you think if I get a newer video card it will help?

As for the twins cheat, eating cheesecake (either before make a baby or during pregnancy - I'm not sure) increases the probability of twins.

I had some problems re-installing some of my favorite hacks but everything seems to have come through OK.

Word to the wise: Before installing an upgrade, make a copy of
    \program files\ea games\sims2 etc, etc

    and

    \my documents\ea games\sims2 etc, etc

somewhere safe. That way if you have a disaster, you don't have to reinstall but can just copy back. I know , now he tells me.

Re-Nu-Yu-Orb is that cement mixer looking thing that is an aspiration reward that was introduced with Nightlife. With it you can change their aspiration and their turn ons/turn offs. If you don't have nightlife, then you wouldn't have had it on your lot prior to installing OFB. If you had nightlife, follow the instructions Mirelly typed in.

Hey that's nicer then my old computer! I'll let the experts give you counsel on what and how you may or may not need to upgrade but I do hear the question "Do you have the latest drivers installed?" all the time. The deceptive thing about this game is the system specs. When I first got the game I thought since my computer exceeded the minimum requirement that I would be able to play the game quite nicely, but I've learned that's not really true.

I've got a 160GB HD, a 6600 GeForce Video card, 1 GB of HS RAM and a 1.6 GHz processor. My game runs pretty smoothly though occasionally I get lot slowdown, especially at large community lots.

And I NEVER use boolprop. I do have Pescado hacks, but they are nice and friendly and non-game-killing.

I think they may have upped the twin chances with OFB, cheesecake or no. After no twins at all my sims had two sets in a row, different lots, after installing OFB, and I thought uh, oh. So I made a third couple have a baby just to test, and whew. One kid. No cheesecake involved with any of these pregnancies. They're not good enough cooks yet!

Twins are fun once in a while, but every time? Yikes.
